Why is this mod called Median XL?

Since this question is not that insignificant and was ignored in the Short Question Thread, i hope for an answer here...
Why exactly is this mod called Median XL, what idea is behind this name? Its nowhere described - at least i didnt find anything.

Maybe a few will blame me for opening a thread for this, but i want to know that... playing it for too many years now.

XL because we are all fat

When Brother Laz created this mod it misspelled it. It should be named Medium XL

Median: because in its first iterations the mod was pretty average and nothing special stood out.
XL: because Brother Laz was a fan of the Wipeout game and one of the entry title had the "-XL" suffix.

So not a particular deep and defining meaning behind the name.

On a side note, it has been asked to Laz what name he would have given to the mod if he had started it in the present days, and he replied that most likely he would have chosen a name similar to that of his Skyrim projects. So you could imagine an evocative latin name for MXL in an alternate universe.
