Am I the only one complaining about getting dr% on dex based melee characters ? Both

Anyone feels the same or have alternatives ? I already use

Thing is, other than maybe Hratli's craft and Der Nebelring, all these are more endgame than midgame.
That ring isn't great on a melee character either. Geleb is actually on my ''to get'' list.

is good exactly on necro cause of 400 flat life & Embalming. It's like +1200 hp from one ring @ 128.

Also that spec is crazy as good for farming TA / Duncraig.
If you're playing softcore, it will be easy & fast to find tons of good stuff.
For great/elemental runes it's better to respec to summoner for sure.

I can see Der Nebelring being useful for HP check ubers. I use 2x Ripstars atm. Ammy is Felblood. Stats are amazing for its level. I might respec to summoner to get a minimum of stuff before getting back to melee.

All good suggestions. Still, I can't really access them before lvl 120 in SSF. I tried TA, it was terrible. I can do Duncraig, but if I get swarmed I die due to less than 10% dr. Let's face it, having this stat on a melee build is kinda mandatory. Something like a rw for necro head having 10-15% dr using regular runeword would be such a game changer. With TA trophy, Witchhunter's hood and luckied armor pieces, it could reach around 25-30%, making the gear curve much smoother.

Hmm maybe we're building nec with kinda different way. Had 117-127 leveling in TA on HC ladder, was superfast, smooth & easy, didn't even tried K3K after i've found witch cap and giyua's. ~480k of your def = 6% chance to be hitted in TA. 152 FHR is mandatory. Also i've used maxed parasite, maxed skeles, golem & shapeshifter/spetum merc to scatter incoming damage. And Dark Power on switch.

I went for no Parasite, Carnage only. Maxing Dragonfire Oil, left Deathlord at 1. Defense is 240k. Still in T4 gear.

Damage is outstanding for now. Changing armor for Erawan in Ancient Armor and Wormtongue for Truce in plated belt will help. Although I lose a lot of dexterity. Hence why I write about the lack of alternatives

Carnage's usage - for fat single targets/bosses.
Parasite is great for farming. Even 1 point is good, but when boosted it gains even more targets - for TA/Dunc it's just fantastic in both terms - dps and life leech.

@128, bonus damage is x2 here so divide to get real value.

Also no leech from Dragonfire Oil, so i treat that skill just like crazy good (like 60% WDM on start) eeearly game assistant.
And i assume your pierce is low (you'll need 135 pierce to do the best on Hell difficulty), so that choice is pretty controversial.
