I'm willing to switch my barbarian from axe melee to poison throw for easier bossing.

Can I get some pointers about how to build him ? Already have sacred rare balanced axe and gilded shield for crafting alongside 30ish shimmering shrines. I didn't find any guides so a few pointers would be much appreciated.

For snake bite, all u need is: skill level, poison duration length and poison pierce. Pierce first, then comes duration.
Duration may not change the dps, but it does make it more comfortable killing bosses.
"SNAKE BITE: Duration no longer stacks with other sources of weapon poison damage." ——patch note 1.6
So u can see snake stance has no more use in 1.6, then bear stance is the way to go for ur survival. Enough pts in it to reach 50 pr and a decent def.
Playstyle: snake bite the boss, walking around while boss melting until next snake bite shoot.

Isnt Triunes Blessing (and all extra sources of psn dmg) terrible tho? Since stacking different poison dmg sources adds the damage, but the duration aswell, average it and thus lowering the dps?

Since skill level is so important, I guess maxing Ancient Blood is the way to go ?

So if I got this right:

Max Snake Bite
Enough in Bear stance to reach 50%dr
Max Ancient Blood (Or closest muliple of 4 possible)
Max Spirit guide
6 points stampede for mobbing
Max gladiator
1 point immortal, thunder king and mountain king

Enough dexterity for max block, rest vitality.
I don't have any of these endgame stuff you mentioned, but I just need to take down 125-130 bosses with it. Should be good with decent crafts

I just have 1 pt in bear stance and none in summon tree and I already have 51 pr with bear stance on. I put some pts in mountain king to get 655 str needed for a sacred gilded shield and boost dex and some vit cause I put the rest in vit. Btw, thunder god is an excellent controlling buff when doing bosses like Xazax and uldy

I'm going to jump in real quick for clarification:

-DO NOT use Snake Stance - instead use Bear Stance?

-DO use the Triune's Blessing shield?

Much appreciated :)

And I also want to showboat this armor I picked up the other day in Dunc

Switching to the Triune's Blessing decreased my damage, and the shield also has 1 less base chance to block vs. the crafted shield, so major loss of points in Dexterity. I tested it out against bosses, switching back and forth between the two shields, and the Triune's Blessing was noticeably inferior.

Personally, I'm tossing the Poison RW shield and sticking with the crafted shield until I come across something better.

I guess that ur crafted shield has +2/+3 bar skills or 4 Nef runes or both. If so, when u change it to the RW shield, the panel damage will decrease, ofc. If u have the same pierce when using the two shields, the dps will almost stay the same.
But the Poison RW shield is much more cheap and easier to acquire compared to ur good rolled crafted one, and a constant 30 poison pierce. It is hard to say which one is better, considering all the aspects.
How much poison pierce does ur crafted one provide? How much defense? And the cost(time cost and shrine cost)for ur crafted one?Considering all these, I still believe this RW is a good choice. For me, it is easy to get 75% block chance and 170+ pierce for regular boss with the RW shield. But it will be so much annoying and time consuming crafting one with +2/3 bar skills, high pierce, 1 base block, 140+ED. It will usually cost one much time and many shrines to get sth like that. I prefer to just spend some tg buying 4 Po runes making the RW.
