Is bloodmage bugged?

Is it just me or does A3 merc bloodmage not cast firedance?

On a side note, is blood mage a good merc for an unholy melee paladin?

He does for me, but only after level 90. Faster cast rate help here, as he cast more spells.
And yes, solid choice for UMP if you want to buff your damage, Gift of inner fire also works great because UMP has very big life pool.

Thanks! I'll try hire him again and see if that fixed it. Never seen mine cast firedance even once. Is there a guide on gearing an act 3 merc? Can't seem to find one. What's a good weapon to use?

But, it is aimed at poison, and we need fire. Just swap Shimmering shrines for Fascinating. Boots and Amulet need to be replace too.
