I'm trying to put together an elemental bowazon build but don't have a lot of experience with the class; I'm looking for some help with gearing suggestions and skill allocation. Here's what I've got so far: https://tsw.vn.cz/char/drox

Disclaimers:
    Resists are around 0 on hell. This char doesn't have many of the charms yet. I'd certainly slot in whatever resistance gems I need when I'm out of the build testing phase.
    Signets aren't maxed but it's not hard to take that into consideration when testing.
    Still ~25 skill points unspent. Some of the skill points invested were for testing. Assume a Belladonna or two will be chugged to iron out skill build.

    The big one: what do we use for sustain? We can't lifesteal, a quick check of using

    seemed to confirm that life on striking isn't an option, and I don't see much gear with massive life after kill that also synergizes with the kit.
    What to socket in the bow? I have rainbow stones now for the IED but I'm not sure if that's the right choice.
    Shred with passive is >200%, obviously over capped. Which shred gear should get replaced? Or should I put fewer points in the passive?
    Wyrmshot text states "Synergy: 0.6yds targeting range for every 2 base levels in Trinity Arrow (Max 18)". Does this mean 18 hard points in Trinity Arrow or 30 (because 30 * 0.6 = 18yds)?
    What's a good general allocation for Wild & Free? Do we max the skill first and then hit breakpoints with jewels, or do we reserve points to put in the skill to hit our breakpoints?
    Balance and Ecstatic Frenzy seem like either/or skills. Is it worth investing points?

Hey, thanks for the tips. I've updated the gloves, boots, and chest with trinity crafts (+2zon, all attributes) and I gotta say, they really do the trick! Astro at level was a breeze even with all the 125 charms in the cube, and other bossy bosses that I would expect bowazon to struggle with like Baal are actually pleasantly easy.

I'm supposed to use trinity arrow for single target DPS, I assume? At least that's been working for me now.

I'm still struggling to find any sustain but as I get more accustomed to playing with EF it's getting easier to not get hit. It's certainly no bow druid w/ maxed barkskin accidentally getting surrounded in Viz-jun and not caring, but it seems like rainbow damage is quite good at farming areas like the Triune and Fauzt that a physical bow character isn't.

I've been playing ele bowzon on SP and I love it. Henchmen set gloves are probably bis here. You can use wind runner boots and endless loop for ez speeds since you wont need much pierce due to zon passive (that is, if you're primarily farming). Wind runner is also cheap, 1 to all skills is great, ias, and having SOME flat physical damage is good. For bossing, dementia and quov is obv the answer. We still scale nicely with dex, so Beads is a great ammy for farming here. For me, I needed to fix some speeds so I went with a giants knuckle and some random rare ring with 1sk and big MF. Finally for sustain, you could always MO laek since there really isnt much for us on that slot. You could also always sacrifice some damage if you have enough and throw perf rubies in place of the rainbow stones on your wep. GL

These are good suggestions. I run pretty much this same setup with my physical bow druid and I wasn't sure if all of the physical-only attributes (like lifesteal and +phys dmg) would be stronger than blessed IED gear so I'll have to try it out. I feel like for farming maxing IED is good because we kill most mobs in a couple hits.

Do you run Henchman gloves + belt together? Also, I think that cold is our lowest proc because our quiver is cubed with

how do you compensate the lack of life steal on elemental builds in general?
life after kill and regen per second or you just go max ele dmg and kill them before they kill you? :)

I've had a lot more success with some of the suggestions on here. It seems like the sustain partly comes from regen, life after kill, and maxed defensive harmony. I'm able to farm Fauztenville without having to go back for pots with this:

The items don't give much elemental resist so a lot of my sockets are gemmed for resists, but on the plus side it does increase our elemental resist to ~85%.

Get beads queen and you will be better. Laek, %dex/str is great. I dont think you need that much pierce: asgard 30, bow 30, passive 60 ~ 120, sunstone 5, 6 bag 5 is around 135. Qtsin amulet is only better than beads when you need ele pierce badly,

And bmr sucks. Der nebel is much better with laek, flat life, pr. Get an act 1 merc and give her pantheon set or just good SU/craft with high % dex/flat dex then you melt fauzt.

Dont forget to get as high as dex possible with charms. Jday trophy, vizjun trophy, triune wormhole is a must if you want to push this char higher.

Also you're wasting 1 point on Trinity Arrow (24 pts is enough for 18 yards Wyrmshot). Farm more level in fauzt or dunc (can dunc to 135 if you cant farm fauzt fast"

Remember this. Fauzt farming sucks if you farm the map in 6+ mins.

My take on IED (innate elemental bowzon) last patch with phalanx Now she's much stronger with enchants. You literally can use the same gear and use wyrmshot for below 5 mins run.
