We are talking about fire sorc here. So muster up max tri res and absorbs if you want, then there is a thing called dodge manually the fucking beam! Just keep running and Flamestrike.

Doesn't he just tele from the initial hits of flamestrike and avoid most of it? I think big single hits work better on "teleport when hit" bosses.

Yes but recent patches decreased the amount of hits of flamestrike and increased dmg. Shotgunning with Flamefront is just too risky due to his Hive and that magic dmg thing he casts.

Would like to get the idea/mechanics.
Is it some kind of -max res to you if you stay further away or +max spell dmg for him.

I will guess it's possible to make the damage dependent on the distance. Valthek has a spell that has the opposite effect of QT, it barely does damage if you go far away from the center. But yeah, would be interesting to know the exact mechanics.
