putting points into enegry then i lose 40 skill points???

i was allocating stat points for my sorceress, i got to 220 energy and it went backwards to about 180 energy........ What happened??? How to fix?

Most likely a gear or charm change. If it's a bug then it's not a common one, another respec should fix.

Consume 40 additional signets of learning.

Has this happened on TSW as it may be a desynchronisation issue and the game just refreshed the values and nothing has been lost. You could also try the Akara respec or Beladonna elixir to restore the skill points.
