Usually they are ~3 months long, this season started 27.8. Might be longer this time as 2.0 was a big patch and especially SP has some big problems so who knows?
As Jampula says, roughly every 3 months, normally...
But it varies - it was much longer in getting 2.0 out. So I hope they won't be doing the same again before 2.1, I've played the builds a fair bit now and probably parking MXL for a while, looking forward to a refresh and interesting changes to try, hopefully around the usual time of the 27th of this month
