On kill = WDM/Poison
On Slain = any
On attack/melee attack = the visual animation of attacking
On striking = any WDM attack that hits anything
When struck = When struck by WDM attack
When you take damage = any type of damage hits you Except poison after the initial dot and life drain effects(open wounds, etc)
If you need an explanation for "when you're killed" procs, then god help your soul.

Don't forget, procs can proc other procs. If all spells could activate on kill procs, this game would be absurd. I think the current way is likely the most balanced as it can get.

Edit: not to mention WDM procs still factor your gear, along with spell-based procs scale with all buffs/auras/spell damage/energy factor, etc.

So, I've had experience with Median before with a totemmancer, having pushed through a few destruction ubers. I read that it's not for absolute beginners, however having never played the Stormcaller build before. Is it something worth investing my time into without having any other characters on the new season at level 120?

So, without rerolling rares, is there a decent way of finding a Hailstorm amulet? Or is this going to be a hope to god pray situation?

Well you can keep gambling for rare amulets. Easy to get money since rares rain down now.

Bona Dea is in the guide. He probably just wants to boost the Hailstorm damage with an amulet, Papa Hawk.

Ye, I just mean early on, since gambling can be expensive now, it might be best to just grind out Mephisto and K3K for runes to upgrade into Fal. Can be a tedious way, but if you want early untwinked Fal rune, it's nice, along with gathering AC's in the process.

K3K in Hatred can drop up to Dol and I've seen Mephisto cap off around Io runes, so just gather a bunch up and cube up to Fal if you don't have the money to go forward in gambling. Otherwise, probably best to just progress in the game and get a Fal rune by Terror Den of Evil.

Yup Bona Dea is great. Even for midgame.

Hailstorm will roll on blues and those can be rerolled. Takes longer since you are only looking at 1 or 2 stats per ammy but it is a solution.
