Introduction

A PewPew Sin that kills enemies from a safe distance while dealing heavy cold spell damage.

This guide is aimed at people who start from scratch and have neither access to sacred uniques/Sets nor charms. I tried to make it as cheap and strong as possible.

This build relies on the range, freeze and damage of Limpet Laser(LL), the awesome Aura shadows give you, the superior casting speed tiefling form provides and Phase Bomb which breaks most immunities to deal with nearly every ice immune enemy while also applying slow.

WHY USE THIS BUILD?

- Easiest way to get charms as a sin. Can farm most ubers/charms easily
- High survivability, 13k HP and 60% avoid.
- High Damage Reduction 50% (max)
- Very cheap built

- cast Tiefling Form and buff yourself with Blood lust, then summon the Shadows to boost your spell damage
- spam LL to kill, break immunities with Phase Bomb or kill them with Nova Bomb or Psionic Storm
- if it's save hit a nearby enemy with Shadow Refuge to get an incredible walk speed bonus in addition to a huge damage reduction bonus
- heal yourself with vampiric icon, you can often cast this one through door or other obstacles, then you are rather safe after a blink.

On the left skill icon I have LL and cast it while holding shift. On the right side I have my spells assigned on the hotkeys F1-8. F1 Summon ice elemental/Edyrem OR if I use it Nova bomb. F2 Phase Bomb F3 Summon Shadow F4 Blink F5 Vampiric Icon F6 Tiefling form F7 Townportal F8 Dark Summoning. Switch left: Bloodlust right: Shadow Refuge This is just a suggestion, you can assign them however you want.

Stats alocation
Strength - enough for gear
Dexterity - None, tiefling form should give you enough
Vitality - If you want more HP do it
Energy - If you want more damage/mana do it

Aim to hit 50% DR with EQ, Charms and shadow refugee (SR) (this determines how many points you need in SR). Some rest points into Vampiric Icon for insta heal. Some points in Psionic Storm could help for enemies with unbreakable immunity

Ubers

Ubers I don't mention are all super easy with this build, except for Fautz (the BRC is no problem, just farming there is inefficient but do yourself a favor and get a taha rune to reach lvl 30 LL). This build shines in the unformed land, just spam summons, LL and finish the ice elementals with a nova bomb placed directly under them. The Unformed land boss is easier with open wounds (OW), cast queen of blades just for him, then die the next time you use phase bomb and forgot it. It also shines in Tran Athula, farming is no problem there.

Now you have twinked yourself, can farm a bunch of stuff (sigs) and switch to more gear dependent builds (Nagisin, Throwsin, ATGM/Judge sin, Tantrumsin) which are more suited to farm even more Dunc/Fautz or clear the last ubers.

With all charms and sigs pretty much all sin builts work

i actually 1 shot astro already with limpet. Nova bomb is pretty sucky against astro because it has nd and very unreliable dmg + ir pierces and kills every totem in the room

I tried it and had no problem with killing the totems, at first I suggested Immo bomb but finally tried out nova and that worked wonderful. Well, now I have to try limpet laser. Ok, tried it, she gets wrecked hard.

Wait, that means QT could be one hitted too! What about Brachy, I guess LL should be better than Nova Bomb too down there.

Hopefully more players try a sin now and hopefully LL doesn't get changed in Sigma.

worth mention in your guide where LL only shoots if the mob is within your sight,

In my early attempt i've tried LL build, ACT2 sewers is where i thought i could spam LL and take cover in another corridor, but the LL wont shoot hence i gave up LL build.

Until i encountered with ATMG, same issue too, and then after careful testing, i realized i need to be in sight, later on i re-test on LL, they share the same mechanic.

Maybe if you could, please add in some simple screenshot, edit a little with MSpaint and mark down spots regarding to positioning, which i think will greatly help total newbies

EDIT: as you suggested from the opening, this guide is aiming at newcomers that has nothing up their sleeve and started with zero, i'm trying to come from a total newbie's perspective, and to suggest that you could give brief explanation on each skill that you featured in the "Gameplay" section,

Example for the main highlighted skill Limpet Laser: A cold spell trap that stick onto wall or obstacle (tree/rock ect) which rapidly fires and freezes none cold immune monster, allowing you to deal damage from a safe range

you recommend -149 but even with phasebomb -199 is best, means you always do max dmg
imagine a heroic boss has 149 resis, phase bomb makes it have 99 resis then -199 so it has -100 resis

A few comments:

-Ice elementals oskill actually does not provide you with 25% dr, in fact you get nothing
-199% is greatly appreciated however if you still kill fast enough its not a must-have

Except for that it looks good, i would only add that i am a big fan of defense (yes especially on a sin!) but thats a personal flavor

Tiefling form deals with both, you can have neither defense nor look good.
