Should be hybrid instead of fully physical.
MO ED, and 6 jah runes for the sword.
Slots for physical damage should be 1 ring or 2 (ripstar); boots (wind runners); gloves (crafted).
Lower damage than fully elemental but you have life leech.

This char is weak as high level boss killer. It's so hard to clear Uldy.
There is no movement speed buff either.
And must press Mooncall buff button every 30 seconds.(shorter than paladin buff)

Melee Sorc is a very strong Boss Killer, the build can farm Scos with Set easily. The issue might be with your gear or Attack Rating or your boss knowledge.

Do u still use TU's? if yes which
How much AR do you have?
Do you know the one hit skills of Uldy and how to dodge them?

Mooncall duration definitely should be buffed though. And I don't know why Baneblade has a duration when it can be toggled off

and the only difference I noticed is my mana vanishing during any relevant fight. I guess it's strictly better with 60% phys res, but I am not sure how do you get this much %DR, considering the chest itself doesn't provide any, without sacrificing too much from other slots.

It is but in labs you are under permanent -10% phys res curse, so you need to overcap in order to stay at 50%.
