Hello and Greetings to all of you. I introduced to u all the Cold Monarch Barbarian is a hybrid build between melee 2-hand axe and summoner. He is a ruthless emperor with his guerilla spirits slays enemy in a blink of eye using his spirit walk abilty and shatters mighty foe with his axe skill Ice Burst leaving ice trail behind.

Reason to play this Build
1. It easy build for a newbie.
2. Need less requirement item to do much ubers.
3. Medium farming speed with cheap equipment.

GamePlay

This character build can survive without spirit but its better together with spirit when engaging a fight. Using a late game equipment, this build can survive most place without spirit.
This is the steps how the characters works:
1. Summon wolf, Use Shamanic Trance , Summon Spirits, Use Thunder God
2. Set right skill to Bear Stance and Ready hotkey Iceburst, Earthquake, Thunderslam and Spirit walk at left skill
3. Use spirit walk on to enemy and then shift left skill to either Earthquake or Iceblast to kill the enemy. Use thunderslam when using spirit walk to horde of enemy. You will using pretty much earthquake all the time for farming.
4. Resummon Spirits if spirits die and go back become a killing machine.

Final Stat

More Str More Power. All point to the str since the other stat already sufficient enough given by charms and skill set. The more u put base Str, the more powerful your spirit and your shamanic trance abilty.

Dexterity:Put some if u need more AR
Vitality:Put some if u need more health
Energy:None

Final Skill

1. 1 point into all tree expect throw skill tree.
2. Max Rune Master
3. 25 point into Bear Stance to maximize physical reduction which is 50%. ( U can reduce point into Bear stance if u got physical damage reduction in item or charm)
4. 21 or 28 point into Shamanic Trance.
5. Max Defender Spirits for more tanky OR Max Protecter Spirit for more damage on Bloodlust.
6. The rest point is up to u which either putting on (ancient blood, deadalus, iceblast, Shamanic trance, Spirit Guide, Immortal)

Early Game

Before u read this, Please Read and Use the Documentation as guide too. https://docs.median-xl.com/

In Early game, your main skill is earthquake and titan strike with lion stance. After lvl up to lvl 12, stance change to bear and use iceburst for strong enemy only since iceburst consume a lot of mana at early game.

Next u gonna farm gift box from griswold in tristam. Farm gift box until u get at least a valaska tiered 1 unique but if u got tiered 2 is much better.(Farm gold by killing cave snapper at Underground Passage).Put all stat into str if u dont have enough requirement to equip it. You can skip farming gift box if u very unlucky and hard to get valaska. Just get good axe and move onwards . Pick all rune u can get. Use rune and make a good runeword armor( Check docu for list of runeword). Continue until act 5 and complete quest 2 to have merc act 5 to help u in Sunstone Quest.

Preparation of Sunstone Quest


When u in act 5 u might in lvl 35-50. Try get at least lvl 42-50 to do this quest. If u find difficult u can buy act 5 merc.Find all strong equipment and make runeword for best result

Read Docu for more info on how to do this quest.When u avoiding the arrows dont RUN. but WALK since running makes your defence=0 and will hit by arrow much more. Be careful when killing the boss since it got chance to cast tremor that reduce your health about 10%. Use IceBlast for quick kill and for Immune Cold use shower of rock.

Preparation of Ennead Quest

When u In Terror act 2 your lvl might 70-80 and u ready for ennead quest.Find all strong equipment and make runeword

Your Bear Stance pierce physical damage on Undead. So If u find hard to kill the totem with all the skeleton in the way, u can kill the skeleton while it still having his immunity using shower of rock or earthquake with bear stance. Be careful while approaching the boss since he can cast Miasma which poison and slows and Nightmare which slows and stop your regeneration. Make tp near the boss to escape while having low health.

Preparation of Challange Level 2 (Death Projector)

U must get into Swampy Pit Act3 . This quest u need to just avoid the lightning while tanking the Death Mechanic around u. The Immunity of the Death Projector will drop if Death Mechanic is near to Death Projector. Use Spirits to tank most of the Death Mechanic and while u hit the Death Projecotor.
After u done the quest, venture forth to destruction. Pick up shrine and Strong Sacred item to craft later on.

Suggestion Gear

This Gear optimize on doing quest and going all the way to destruction.Try find any tiered item that u want and change into tiered unique(TU) item. Also increase it tier while progressing too. Look into documentation at cube recipe section if u dont know how.(All best equipment sort out by order).

5. Max Defender Spirits for more tanky OR Max Protecter Spirit for more damage on Bloodlust.

This Build is my secondary end game build which required expensive and rare item. This build is using kraken stance and in addition of fortress attack when attack enemy. The character works same as before but use kraken stance instead of bear stance and switching attack between fortress Earthquake every 3 sec for maximum damage.

Ubers

Dungeon

1. DeathProjector: Use summon for tanking and Hit the boss while avoid lightning and Death Mechanic.

2.Creature of Flame: Unequip some armor to let the Astral Guardian hit u more frequently and give u shield and hit the boss while under shield. Use dark summoning to summon more Astral Guardian.

3.Infernal Machine : Using Merc can make this uber easier. Kill the minion 1st and be sure fast enough than the boss can summon to ensure safety while killing the boss.

4. Rathma Square:Using Merc can make this uber easier. Kill the boss quickly before too much Gore Crawler hit u. Use thunder slam to avoid getting hit too much.

5. Azmodan: Using Merc can make this uber easier. If the elite monster spawn in that area are not dangerous it will make this uber much easier. U need to kill the boss quickly before all elite monster gang up killing u. Thunderslam work wonderful here.

6. Cathedral of Vanity: You need to have Jitan Gate oskill from Lord Adric Jitan uber charm before do this uber. When u enter the place u will end up on small room. Lure much of the enemy from the big room to the small room where u enter. After u lure a lot, u use Jitan Gate to teleport to the big room and make tp at most bottom of the big room. After that go on. kill the crystal ball while avoiding the lightning from the crystall ball.

7. Vizjun: Using Merc can make this uber easier. U need having decent item before do this uber and having 1M defence. You will travel to the somewhere bottom in the map using spirit walk and thunderslam to find the boss. After u find the boss, u need to go south west and deploy tp and clear the mob around there to avoid nuclear strike. After clear, u snipe the boss using purify skill and get the charm after his down.

8. Toraja : Using Merc can make this uber easier. If u gonna kill lilith u gonna be fast killing her before her summons too much morlu. Use thunderslam to makes space and summon edryem on lilith. When her shield down go for the kill. Watch out for her broadside skill.

9. Startled Witch: Never attempt to succeed using this build. I think gonna be hard using this build.

10.Uldyssian: Very Hard using this build since u need variety source of element damage to do this uber.

11.Void: Never attempt to succeed using this build. I think gonna be hard using this build.

Summoning

1.The Butcher: Use 1 summon at a time and make the circle appear while he hitting that summon and lure him into the circle and go for the kill.

2.The Binding of Baal :U need to kill all the minion 1st before u can kill the boss. Lure the minion 1 by 1 to avoid getting nuked by their spell and kill the boss after all minion down.

3.Assault on Mount Arreat :U need to kill all the minion 1st before u can kill the boss. Using Merc can make this uber easier. Your Bear Stance and Your high def can tank most of the arrows.

4. Akarat : Using Merc can make this uber easier. The amount of thunder hammer released by the Follower of the Akarat are way too strong to tank.Use summons and merc to tank the thunder hammer . The boss immunity is down for a moment when the follower die beside him. Thus, quickly kill the boss when all followers are down.

5. Legacy of Blood: Using Merc can make this uber easier. Try kill the boss faster before the boss summon too much blood golem more than u can handle.Try moving a bit after killing blood golem to avoid getting too much hit from the fire bomb.

6. Lord Aldric Jitan:U need to kill all the minion 1st before u can kill the boss. Using Merc can make this uber easier. U can tank much of the arrow but try avoid the singularity cast by enemy after death.

7.Judgment Day: Using Merc can make this uber easier. U have 2 way to do this uber.
1.Needs High luck which wait the 2 different boss summonned successive below 30 seconds.
2.Clear the Cathedral 1st. Summon the Edryems in inner and wait for the 1st boss to appear then run to the cathedral and make sure u remember what boss that appear in inner cloister. Lure the Edryem which the one that have some armor on his body into cathedral then wait for another boss appear in cathedral.If u see different boss appear in cathedral quickly kill it and go back inner to kill another one and go back town and cube it fast.

8. Zorun Tzin : Equipping item that have fire absorb can make this uber a bit less harder since the boss can cast huge fire damage. Some Example Item :

. Kill all the minion in that area and lure all rats at the most bottom lane of the map and then teleport to other lane. Summon him at the top lane of the map ready to purify trap. If too much trap u can handle just run way and make him follow u to place which does not have trap and hit him. Be careful while running since if u hit his projectile while his teleport to u, u wil die instantly.If he summon too much citizen to handle, just lure it at the bottom lane of the map.

9.Brother Laz. : Never attempt to succeed using this build. I think gonna be hard using this build.

10. Secret: Inarius’ Revenge : Use Dark Summoning After kill Inarius In Cathedral of Vanity. Just avoid the deathstrike after killing the minion.

Uberlevels

1. Kurast 3000 BA :Using Merc can make this uber easier. Same Strategy as Ennead Quest.

2.Island of the Sunless Sea :Using Merc can make this uber easier. U need to use Spirit Walk to kill Sunless Priest 1st since he gives quite a lot of damage on his homing bullet. The only problem is killing Malic since he can gives 1 hit ko homing bullet. U need to try kill him while avoiding homing bullet and use summon for distraction. Your earthquake skill can easily kill enemy in here.

3. Khalimgrad:Using Merc can make this uber easier. Its quite easy with your high def and just avoid the punisher. If u find hard it hard to kill all avatar, just farm the avatar near the entrance and repeat.

4. Tran Athulua : Using Merc can make this uber easier. Your high def and Damage Reduction(DR) can tank most of the arrow. Your earthquake skill can easily kill enemy in here and one your main farming spot.

5. Fauztinville: Using Merc can make this uber easier. Your high def and Damage Reduction(DR) can tank most of the necrobots and harpylisk projectile. If u tank too much u may die, so proceed cautiously.

6.The Triune : U can tank much in this uber but be careful with the meteor. The boss is quite hard and take a bit time to do since u need to lure the boss fight each other. U need to lure the Arihan to the Primus. While Arihan close to Primus charm the Arihan and make the Primus shoot projectile to Arihan. U need to stick close to Arihan since the book gives aura to Arihan to make Arihan take damage. U also need to reequip the book after die to make the aura enable.

7.The Unformed Land :Using Merc can make this uber easier. Your Spirit can do most of tanking of the projectile and u just hit the enemy. Just be careful at floor Light, Cold and Fire since they hit very hard. The boss terul is very easy, just hit him as usual.

8. Kingdom of Shadow : U need have a crafted sword and shield for this uber. Your shield must max enchanted defense. Put all Jah runes on your shield and On rune your sword to make u tankier. Use Windform skill to path your way all to the bottom of the map and find narrow path lead to north east. It goes all the way to boss. Be careful when approaching the boss since the boss hit quite hard and can summon more monster to aid him.

9.Ghosts of Old Bremmtown:Using Merc can make this uber easier. Cast a Spirit in front of u and make the monster appear and use thunderslam it and kill it. Repeat the process until the reach the boss which at the bottom of the map. Be careful of the boss which summon Death Spiral.

10. Duncraig: U need high bonus damage to undead to make this uber farmable. The 1st time u enter here, u need to find ring which helps u to kill the Slain soul easier. U will face a lot of death in here while teleporting to other room since u cant use thunderslam. The only way to survive here is having 1M def is a must. Then U need have a crafted sword and shield for using windform skill for avoid barrel. When teleporting to other room, u need to standby Windform skill to avoid barrel then switch back to axe to use earthquake to kill the enemy. The boss here Assur is dealing very high fire damage which u likely to die instantly without having 200% fire resistance above maximum resistance. Make a crafted boots that spawn +fire res and then put Pul Rune or BloodStone gem. MO all res too.

11.Yshari Sanctum: Never attempt but possible to do using this build.

12.Wretched Hive: 1st and 2nd level floor u will encounter invisible bug that hit u with high poison and make u 1hp and this bug have aura make your potion ineffective. The only solution is to tp way back home quickly before u got another fatal hit. The boss Xazax is quite strong and have huge hp. He can cast strong spell and summon Penitent which deal huge melee fire attack. The Penitent also cant be killed. The only way to fight him is to kill the boss quickly before he summon too much Penitent that u can handle.

Heroic .

1. Bull Prince Rodeo: Tank him in 90 degree wall to avoid getting killed by the herde of cow. U might need summon Spirit near u to avoid getting too much hit from his fowl fight skill.

2.Quov Tsin: The only way to kill him is to respect your skill to fortress build and maximize Wolf Stance. U will snipe the boss using fortress while using Wolf Stance. Put a bit skill point on wolf companion to increase seek range of fortress.

3.Belial: U need make tp near entrance of Icy Cellar in Icy Cellar. Lure the boss and near the tp and go back town. After that go ancient way wp and go near entrance of icy cellar. Make a lot of summons and ready to enter icy cellar and hit the boss in few seconds and run away with the tp which already set up. Repeat the process until he's dead.

4. Athulua: Keep Hitting her until she's dead. Just be sure u have a lot of potion standby since your health always gonna be low with the tremor cast by the rat on death.

5. Astrogha: This Uber need high damage to make it a bit easier since u gonna sometime hit the trap which gonna heal him back full life. U need at least crafted labrys with high damage or SU labrys and some buff of motw and 75-100% -ene cold res in total to make it easier. U gonna die a lot in this uber since his gonna cast spiral ice bolt which instant kill u.

6. Kabraxis: U need at least SU Light Belt Endless loop to do this uber way easier . Just melee him like usual but u gonna be teleported a lot of time and need drink a lot of potion. The other way without endless loop is using fortress or to kill him while avoiding using windform skill and wolf stance. Use crafted sword and shield.
The Elemental :
Fire: Use Ancient hand oskill from crafted barb helm
Cold : Use IceBlast
Light: Use StormBlast
Stone/Physical: Use Shower of Rocks or Fortress. The Boss better use fortress or Guardian Spirit only to avoid getting killed by his broadside skill.
Magic: U need to respec and have a lot hard skill points into lion stance to make this thing easier. Use Lion Stance, Shower of Rock and Fortress.

try to resume at 1 or 2 of the best gearing options instead of making a long list of all viable things you could use . it may be confusing for people with not much experience . people don't care about 3rd or 4th best options

so what gear did you actualy use when you played this build and decided to make a guide about it ?

going for maxed spirit guide + 24 points into bear stance + maxed runemaster is a waste of skill points . you don't need to max all 3 to have godlike defence . i'd gor for 1-pointer runemaster and put the other 20-ish points somwehere else or max Nephalem weapons for more damage instead . or since you can gain damage reduction from charms and lucky'd gear you may spend less points into bear stance for end game

Having 5-6 gear options at every spot does make it very difficult to read, especially with all the colors. Use item tags more often if possible instead of writing Eth SU Labrys, SU Labrys, SSU Labrys, etc

will make it a bit cleaner for people to read.

full str while not using lion stance is also a waste . either split them 50%/50% or go full vitality instead . your extra damage / point into str is not that amazing if you're not using lion stance along with it .

your early and mid game also lacks attack rating by judging the stat investment and 1-pointer deadlus .

you always have more than one option , but nobody cares about those , since you can pick by youreself from something you consider usefull just by looking at the docs ; the goal is to socket what is the best and reach the highest efficiency (this is the only thing that matters) .

also , if we're not including the end game gearing where some SU's may be hard to find , reason why you can have more than 1 or 2 viable options , the early and mid sections can resume to no more than 2 options since they can all be accesed quite easy just by farming for consumables (runes/shrines/arcane crystals) /re-rolling rares/crafts .



at this point the guide needs some more work .
