yep, that's app bug related to stashes loading

rune/gem containers aren't supported yet. Uptier works like before.

Im not sure if character created in which version is matter
shouldn't matter as the game implements a workaround on loading. Still, saved characters might be bugged, and MXLOT won't open them. I wouldn't change that now.
