Totems are not minions, kinda. I think that should be clear as your Spell dmg and -enemy res works on them.

Nice guide even though now the early honorifics are a bit screwed. Still it's good to boost minions too.

has no + skills , but it was a display bug indeed . did some tests today with different items/sources ,so no , minion damage does not boost totem damage or rampagor poison damage .

So in theory, totems are not minions and therefore benefit in no way from any minion stats except spell damage?

I stack the minion life and resist to provide us with tanks which allow you to run through even the end of terror with a tier 1 quilted armor

as Seekers has been doing with the screenshots he's been providing for the early/mid sections for me.

The comments have come to show that the totems don't benefit from the minion stats, but regardless, having 8-10 shadows, 4-5 rampagors, a Void Archon, and 4-5 Lamia through early game that can survive without much thought about resummoning makes it a breeze through early/mid game.

The totems themselves put out way more than enough damage to be sufficient without pierce, but just to boost, we pick up the

for some pierce on top of other stats, and I've now added pierce to the early game rings/amulet MO's.

With the MO's, you can get up to -40% Fire from the armor and up to -45% Fire from the MO's on rings/amulet. Frostclaw's damage mechanic with hitting 25x per second that it passes through is plenty strong enough, not to mention it scales up faster in the skill itself per level also. Fireheart just looks lower on the display because that's the output per fireball that it casts.

MO'd % Minion Life, % All Resist, % Minion Resist is not the thing you go for
You use Minion HP%>Minion Res%>Fire pierce%>Fire Spelldmg%.
It's enough if you use only gloves with the 6% Mo's, you can pretty much create Quov Tsin like gloves and use them till late game. If however you feel like you need the Resistance you should go full res orbs.

indeed totems get no boost from %minion stats , did various tests to check if display bugs are or arn't showing the truth . they only benefit from %spell damage , flat energy/%energy , energy factor to spell damage / str factor to spell damage .

i'd keep %minion life items just to get fat rampagors to do the tanking , you only need to keep 2-3 shadows alive all the time for their aura anyway . maby some %minion resists too , the rest of the mo space can go for %spell damage and -enemy resists or whatever else you may consider usefull . %minion damage is not something to focus your attention on ; if it comes along from some items as a side bonus , it's ok , if not , it's also ok . don't bother with it
