My understanding of minion res cap is that it's max 50% (as far as the minions actual resistances go).

They start out with an innate 75% resist, so they are as good as they can be in Normal. The -50% res penalty in NM means you need 25% to reach the 50% res cap and when you get to Hell, another 50% to reach the 50% cap again.

So you've added 75% minion res in total by the time you get to hell and that gives the minions 50% resists which is as good as they can be.

none of the necromancer summon skills scare with stats :( but the cost for Hawks becomes ridiculous later on

Katamari doesn't seem good at all. It's very easy to cap minion resistance, minion life is low on it anyway and not that valuable after you get "enough", and minion damage on crafted jewels can go up to 21%, along with having more useful caster stats (%stats, life, etc).

I know it's still early but you're missing a LOOOOOOOT of gearing choices bud.

Wand - Smokeless Fire
Shield - Grim Silhouette
Rings - Der Nebelring
Helm - Rathma's Blessing(runeword)
Armor - Thelema(Runeword)

One more VERY important aspect, especially at level 120+, use Bane(curse) by targeting your minions with it. This lowers the physical defense of all enemies by a serious amount even with only 1 point put into it.

never gotten into it (we need some1 who's done the research), but just assumed they didnt have any penalty in nm/hell so u just need the 75 res

If you are using Grim Silhouette, you might as well go full Laz for the extra Veil King.
