It uses normal attack AR. Paladins gets ITD as passive so ar is only important against bosses, every hit damages them sure but if you fail ar check you don't life/mana on attack bonuses.

It depends on purpose. For farming with Divine Apparition: Eerie or Sacred, bossing: Imtimidating (-poison res)

40% total dmg is awesome, if I remember correctly and it's the one in the end of dmg calculation. Still that item doesn't give anything else for uhm, I doubt it's worth it.

Deckard Cain's Heirloom is the best.
You can stack up to 180% exp gain ~540% spell dmg :bounce:
