TY very much for the response, managed to kill baal this morning before i saw this, i just circled him dodging skills and spamming plague avatar, when he summ'ed a vision or some minions, I runned, dealt with them separatelly and went back to baal.

Gonna try astrogha today! hopefully I can kill Her(?).

Btw, i saw your armory, why do you prefer loxian to Lincos?

On a Stave Druid Caster setup especially with the pierce rune and Acid Fiend + Vine Companion changes/introduction you can cover Spell Damage and pierce due to skills/summons/ No Runes pretty easy with crafts SOlo Self Found. So, 1.7 changes brings quite a few adjustments to caster dudu.

- Vine Companion can hit stuff and cut poison res by 15%. In conjunction with Mythal for the poisoners, 135 pierce is enough for bosses, while 164 would probably suffice for sam/deimoss.
- In a similar vein, the spell damage bonus has been added to Pagan Rites. Now just a free aura!
- New spell focus ultimate passive that also grants 10% phys res.
- Earlier access to Barkskin (was named Lifeshield)
- Major buffs to rain of fire; it's actually usable for bossing now even as a 1pt wonder in most cases thru the 120 ubers and even some 125 ubers (Astrogha, for one). Still serves as a general purpose answer to the poison absorbs out there like at Teganze. Save your joints and hold down the button to cast it; as soon as you mouse over a target, it'll fire.
- Infected Roots' visuals is a bit more clear to show what it's actually going to hit; you'll have to learn to lead it just a bit as the prior hitbox was not as accurate. Takes practice but still kills stuff all the same.

Early game gearing doesn't really change much, but a simple suggested gear progression if you wanna stick with poison:

: Standard entry level options. Earth Song is more well-rounded for boosting rain of fire too, which is going to be better for early bosses. I prefer it over Glowskull, but either is good.
- Crafted Druid Helm: The base doesn't matter, but you can roll 4sk /40 fhr / 30 psn dmg/ 25 pierce before shrine effects. Ideally double shimmering craft early, shimmering/eerie late. Feel free to burn other shrines and keep the first one that rolls 20+ pierce and at least +sk or psd if possible. You'll have to continue leapfrogging druid helms to progress smoothly. This is going to be your single biggest upgrade in early hell.

: The two solid options going into hell. Queen of Glass is gucci caster armor and will take you VERY far; Robe has nice prebuff, but half the pierce, and no cast speed mod. I recommend using Queen > Robe, but Robe can definitely be used in a prebuff setup. Keep Robe anyways, fill it with Nih runes, and keep on hand for prebuff.
- Crafted Body Armor: A potential option, but absent a perfect craft is not beating QoG; The only real option here is double shimmering craft, aand hope to roll 15 psd/10 pierce on both rolls. Other notable stats to look for: +2 skills, 40 FHR, 500 life, 60 MF, +60 to all attributes, Indestructible, 200 ED. That said, a 30 psd/20 pierce/+2 sk/40 FHR/60MF armor is going to be a very attractive alternative.

: I said Scales is BIS in "nearly all cases"; this is for those other cases. This is what you will want for labbing/sam/deimoss. Priority rolls are max ele res > pierce/phys res > +skills. Also a nightmare to craft and I'd recommend respeccing to wolf to farm this.

Easy transition to wolf: Farm two Xis runes as poison caster (takes a few hours each on average), craft

The skills in poison (nature) tree got renamed in 1.7.

Acid Fiends -> HARVESTERS
Poison Flash -> HARVEST
Poison Avatar -> INFECTED ROOTS

Max Pagan Rites from the fire/cold tree, max infected roots, 20 points barkskin (for full synergy), 1 point mythal, a few points in vine companion, rest into Harvesters/Harvest for big tanky meatshields. Once you get access to Symbiosis you'll want 4 points there and 26 points in Elvensong to get a cool 20 avoid.

As for early start: Put a point in Ember Spirit then Poison Flash. Use Ember Spirit and kill stuff. Once you hit level 13 and you find a nef rune or higher, you can cube runes by themself to lower them to the next lowest rune. Pay Akara a visit and look for a gray staff, ideally with one socket. Put jewels (not gems!) in until there's one socket left, then put Nef in for a really useful runeword with free teleport.

Hi! I m a bit newbe at median and ve been following this guide so far but i ve been hitting a wall around 125 + content.
i was able to do every 115 uber easily, managed to do quov tsin and kabraxis with some efforts as poison, but then Baal / Astrogha destroys me

I ve been following above posted recommended gearing plan : lincos staff, poison craft helm w shimmerings, queen of glass, ashaeras belt, megalith boots, memory gloves + some rare skills and poison amu and rings. despite this im getting stomped :)

Problem is really dmg. I survive ok and my harvesters are quite tanky overall but baal /astrogha are not going down at all
What looks surprising to me is that rain of fire seems to do more dmg than infected roots even with just one point and no specific fire gear... so im wondering if i should farm fire gear and respec altogether

Any advise welcome :) Great mode overall but im running out of ideas to keep going. Thanks !!

Don't use summons on those fights. Baal summons bosses on hit. IIRC they both just leech poison so that is a no-no, spec on fire. RoF was buffed and it should easily take both of them down.
