The most likely scenario is to lean more on honorifics for the start as between boots/belt/gloves you can easily get 60 minion res, which is 60 poison spell damage and ridiculously easy to achieve.

Early game will be even smoother now that getting 3 honorifics among gear pieces looks like the most optimal choice. Switching to mid game gear will be more tricky as you'll need to balance and cap one more affix without losing enough pierce from items. Will need to balance crafts+sockets properly.

Should you invest into any MF while playing? Or is there simply no space cause other gear is too important? Is it even necesssary to begin with?

I'd focus on anything that maximizes your killspeed first. Mf is a nice addition to that if you can afford it.

I play this build every season as a starter usually, 15 fiends was honestly nice, but five can still control a crowd. And the doubled HP will make the likes of breaking away from bosses with pounces (Kabraxis etc.) much much easier.

You get your own little swat team now instead of a bunch of dumbass meatshields that don't even do their job.

Which sacred bases should you use when just switching into shrine crafted gear? Best possible or something that needs less strength to equip?

Despite the nice lifeshield bonus, we don't particularly care about defense, expecially that early. So in general try to go for low str req bases.
