Here is a breakdown of what I have managed so far. This is a really nice starter build; scales extremely well despite the basic gear choices. This is the double multiplier from +Dura and -%Res doing work.

As you can see my gear is not very well optimized. Elvensong has pretty much carried my lazy ass. The next step for me would be replacing gloves/boots with more optimized crafted gear and SUs, then eventually improved RWs at 121.

I started a druid on this guide as one of my first characters then I stopped and left it in early Destruction at about level 117 waiting for the guide to be finished. It says the author is still working on the guide, but it has been a long time now so I guess he is not doing it now.

It is actually quite powerful and easy to play. Mine is level 118 presently and not really trying very hard on upgrading gear (belt and boots are still T5, others T6 and armour, helm, belt and boots have nothing in the sockets) but it seems to cut through the content easily enough - up to Act 2 Destruction so far and all but Tran Athulua done for the Black Road challenge.

I think it could be a very good character if I put some effort into it but the patch changes look bad for this build on paper (-20% to Rain of Fire for example). Is Freezing Gale now a better option? It seems to burn a lot of mana though when I try to use it.

I hope someone will update this guide one day. Caster druid seems a good build. Plague Avatar is very good, it just needs a skill for poison immunes.

Has anyone else noticed that whatever damage types you choose, the game seems to suddenly choose to create mostly monsters with those immunities? When I play this character I get mainly fire and poison immunes. When I play cold/lightning, I get mostly those immunities. A bit annoying.

That's because you destroy everything not immune to your elements in a blink of an eye. :)

Freezing Gale is crap imo, I have always hated spells that makes you immobile especially in a game like Median where not moving usually means death. Rain of Fire nerf ain't that bad considering it has been op as hell for years.
