Unless you give it strength factor items, I don't think it would.
I like using gryphon over phase bomb for general content, but will probably want phase for bosses and things you want slowed. Phase bomb is just an extreme annoyance, it kills melee reanimates, skeletal flayer/ edyrem summons, any merc besides A3, prevents shadow refuge, etc..

I was just as surprised to hear that as well. One of my good friends (who has an encyclopedic knowledge of the game compared to me) told me this as if it has been a mechanic for ages. I suppose pobody's nerfect though, so if anyone could confirm or deny that, it'd be greatly appreciated!

Well summed up arcology, about Phase Bomb! Thats exactly how i feel about it in the early/mid game. That being said I'm in the end game now, so I have to use it to do well at Kabraxis, Duncrag, Fautz. Those would otherwise be unnecessarily difficult without PB.

Don't they already have like 850 energy factor for being lvl 120? The dmg difference shouldn't be that huge or?

A3 mercs: Unearthly Power: +250 energy factor to spell damage, +5 per level


Heroic strength at 500 str (what they have at 120 pretty much anyways is 125. 600 str = 150. 25 more on top of 975 doesn't sound like much.

I guess putting points into energy would be better.

No, it wouldn't make a huge difference, I just put strength in because there were leftover slots. Might as well use them for a bit of damage is my thinking there.

Hey this is the first time ive rolled a sin. I had a quick question about tiefling form that I cant find an answer to anywhere else.
Since tiefling form reduces defence to 0, and we arent going block, is there any reason to not be running the entire time?
