yes that was the previous 1h+shield setup , still very viable , but with the new adjustments to the skillplan for the build that is finaly using solar flare+incarnation + a decent single target killer (DJ) , that setup is no longer mandatory .

Since you can retaliate all the time while under the effect of Solar Flare , you no longer have to get hit in order to retaliate - this means you can get a 2h weapon instead, for more damage while also having a low chance to be hit (you no longer have to run in order to get 0 defence for easier retaliate) -> more tanky + more damage .

as it works better than any other hand of god early game option , but i'm still testing other options too .

that life drain is nothing in end game . Maby the item description is not very clear , but it does not drain 250 life per second . -250 life drain doesn't mean -250 life per second. that's not how it works . it's actualy around -25 life per second ; you won't even notice it while under the effect of Vindicate or an apple .

the life drain formula is something like " (x/256)*25 " = (250/256)*25 = -24.41 hp/second in our case

same goes for "replenish life + x"

also , the build is still not full updated , so there could be some more item replaced , not just for the early game . it will be full updated in about 2 days .

regarding the skillplan skill names/skills order in general , not just for the Paladins , the online skillpoint planner website is not yet updated , it still shows the XVI informations , not my fault

I hope it gets fixed soon . All classes that had skillplan changes have the same problems .

Maximus updated to 1.1 ; Gandalf remains the same , the only thing that changed was the duration of Solar Flare from 6 to 10 seconds

I am interested in this holy melee character. Can I use hand of god instead?

you can use whatever you want or feel that suits you best . the guides in general show you a pattern that worked for the creator , but you can change anything you want or believe that will suit your needs better . you don't need to ask for permission

in the early game, (on paper) the hand of god provides higher damage , but compared with the proc + crushing blow + %str bonus of the Crucifier (when you actualy play it) , imho it is a bit inferior . Only Intifada RW comes close to the Crucifier in the early game in therms of killspeed , but it has the downside of having low total defence, so i didn't go for it as long as i can retaliate without geting hit when having the Solar Flare active + also having 5% chance to be hit at the same time .

if you go for the TU hand of god you may as well go for the Jitan's Kamon armor

it's not realy new , it's an old barbarian build that was removed from the compilation a few years ago . i'm not sure when i'll get the time for it but it will sure come back to the compilation

Storm updated to 1.1 (minor adjustments to the end game skillplan ) , for Athelstan and the Sloth added the SU Adjudicator as end game switch gear option , Lagertha ,Traxex , Britney Spear , the Earthshaker , The Arsonist , The Rooftrellen , Sagittarius , Hulk and Slark remain unchanged

the minigames descriptions were removed from the general gameplay tips now that they are extinct
