normally i dont bother too much for early game items, except for a few core items and for the rest of the slots i just use what i can find until i get access to a really usefull item (rw's in this case).
you dont need good gear in every slot early and gloves, boots and helm slot arent that important earlygame for most builds.

if you have access to those items you should chose what you need, depends on your other gear ofc.
toorc's if you lack dmg
featherclaw if you lack AR and want to move faster
death spur if you lack flat str + dex
zealot rush mainly for %dex and reanimates. stats are good overall but nothing that stands out too much.
for helms i think one common choice is

the dmg does affect quill dmg but i think the flat ele dmg should be higher in most cases.

on the other hand flat str and reanimates from grimspirit are a nice bonus but most of the time i dont want to commit too much into str to be able to wear it early.
