Because I like to play that way, it's funnier to me. You can choose to not use as much skills as me and it work fine too. I started Melee sorc and mana sorc recently, and skills switch is about the same.
Not having only one skill is one of the build definition, it's written right at the start of the guide and is the whole point of the thing. I don't think it's especially hard or complex, just need a little bit of time to get used to your controls, as always.

yeah, maybe I think naginata ass is complex because of my first class is bowzon, it's lv 140 and wear very late game gear and it's play style is easy. just click mouse. Maybe switch skill is necessary for all melee class. ^^

To me it seems like a tradeoff between vita from Solitude vs ias/min Damage from Marksman 'S Eye, Idol seems to give less stats and that's the only thing it does.

Because in my set up Crystal of Tears would be the best, and Itherael is just slightly behind, so on a big eth fryst like you have EWD probably have more value. Marksman's Eye have around a little bit less than half the damage, and the flat dex one again a little less. Also the life loss from Crystals is not that much honlestly, before 1.6 prismatic cloak did not gave life and it were fine, it's like giving up on that bonus at worst. The pierce ones might be good if poison is not at 135 yet.
Can't express on magic find, never used that stat :mrgreen: But stun I know, it only work on the main target of a melee swing, so for hades gates spam it's usless, or in fauzt in general even, it's not really important.
Boots are probably better with akarat's treck or wind runners instead of aba craft

Can't comment on anything else, look like a super big set up to me, kinda similar to Acry one : viewtopic.php?f=6&t=56988 , you should roll at that fauzt like it's cake already

Thanks for the detailed write-up on the trade-offs of different umos (also for explaining "stun, didn't know that), so if I understand correctly it's:

Essence of Ithereal > Crystal of Tears > Marksman's Eye > Idol of Stars, in terms of dmg with big physical weapon.

Yeah, still working on the boots, rolling 40frw/35ed with 0/4 sockets and suceeding on the double luck takes a while and isn't the most rewarding activity -.-.

Just so you have an idea of the values of each stats, in my char (so a big nagi but not as strong as yours) this is what each stats add respectively in my physical damage :
1 damage (10-15 for exemple is 25 damages) : 6.48
100 EWD : 590
1 DS : 76
4 dex = 1 EWD (raw dex increase, a +4 from gear will give more because of %dex bonus) (it's the nagi base dex scaling)

This is on my char of course so it'll change depending on what you already have in theses values, it's just to get the idea

Ten Pin Striker : ttad is additionnal damage to a melee attack and doesn't scale with anything, again for Hades Gates spamming it do not work, it would be too op for multihitting skills otherwise (it end up being litteraly useless tho). So this UMO is only for people with full vita black ice set up for the ar, nothing else in any circonstances. And anyway 100 is not that big of a value than you think, nagi damage is awesome you'll see.

Larzuk's Round Shot / Vizjun's Ball Bearing : The two best by far. in my calc theses two add respectively 295 and 211 damages, it's insane. Crushing blow is pretty useful when farming fauzt and proc on everything, 15 ED stop at 200 indeed (still cool since you cover your 5% missing) and str is useless yea if you can equip everything without compromises, but who care 50% EWD DUDE WTF

Warbringer : 5 max is pretty ridiculous (normal mo do better) and the arrow... Look really useless. It's 50% weapon damage if I remember correctly, and do basically nothing in there, 2% is too low. It'll never have the value of the others that's for sure, Hades Gates hit a lot since it deal on the whole screen but it's still far from being enough for procs.


tldr long life EWD and DS, put all your larzuk and Essence of Itherael, and dex on jewelry (or pierces if you want whatever) (wait there's an EWD one too right? he might be good), no need for the rest as a big nagi have enough flat damage (it's still a very nice stat because of the big nagi scaling of course tho)

Phew, saved me there on ten pin striker, i always thought ttad was a super good stat.
(Tough only half, I already traded for 2 ten pins based on my intuition, but maybe i'll get black ice one day and they aren't wasted.)
So TTAD basically only works on the melee portion of a melee hit, so for example with charged strike it would apply to the primary target, but neither on the bolts nor the wdm nova from nagi "area effect attack" modifier ?

Mechanics question on flat damage, is the following correct ?

Adds x min. dmg & Adds y max. dmg = Adds x-y dmg (And ttad is a completely seperate thing from these ?)

In theory you can get the proc chance from Warbringer to 12, more realistically to 8 (2x sigil of absolution, lvl.150, not gonna happen), but I guess that still compares unfavorably to 200 ewd from Larzuk.
How does Broadside factor into this ? For example, right now i have 162 knives per Broadside, that would be 3.24 procs (2%) and 12.96 (8%) ...

I guess this the one you were talking about ? 15 EWD, the rest of the mods is useless for my (or any nagi) setup...
(though in theory cold spell dmg scales the frost nova proc from fryst, but i assume this is negligble).
15 EWD would translate to 15*5,9= 88.5 increase in dmg.

5 max dmg -> 5*6.48 = 32.4 increase in dmg, +life reg and life after kill (both nice, but not better then more than double dmg gain i guess). 25% dmg vs undead, not sure when this factors into the dmg equation, but afaik fauzt has no undead, and dunc melts well enough as is. Similarly lab to my knowledge also doesn't feature undead on a larger scale.

I mean 3% dex is nice ? I have 1487 dex (1160 base stats+ 327 flat) *0.03 = 44.61 extra dex, which then translates to 11.1525 EWD *5.9 = 65.79975 increase in dmg.
However still dexcraft boots, so this number will likely go down rather than up and it's already less then Heart of Frost.
And that is best case, before realizing rolling the 3% dex (and other stats) is not a given and you'll likely just gimp your shit...
