I'm really not a fan of 0 defense items/skills, so I can't recommend it.


Yeah I guess you then need ridiculously high avoid.. I was hoping the other stats might make up for it, plus the fact that you can use one-handed wands this way. Also, since defense is not important anymore, you can skip it on all the other gear and pump other stats. But in the end, if you get hit, you die. And if you = dieded, your totems = dieded along.

Correct, your totems get the 'permed' buff. So it will last indefinitely. This is why I use an A3 bloodmage, when you see the ring of fire appear, quickly recast your totems when using that merc.

, you can use bloodlust from there to buff the totems.

The only issue I'm having with it, is that I farm with Frostclaw totems, and you need to spread out two of those because otherwise they all hit the same single target which makes farming slow. As described in the guide, it helps to cast the Frostclaw totems away from your pile. I personally do it in a large triangular cone out in front of me so that any enemy walking too close gets more damage progressively. This also works as cannon fodder so enemies don't pile on top of you.

Maybe try the both out? Staff of Shadows is superior, just try to things yourself...
