You have it mixed up. Guide says Um runes in weapons, Topaz in armor. Topazes in weapons gives you spell focus, which is useless for this build.

However, putting Sur runes in weapons is the only easy way to get substantial mana regeneration, which makes them - in my opinion - much better than the 15-30% energy that Ums give you in weapon(s).

Thinking of going for baal trophy on sleep for the 50% mana regen, would probably be really nice.

Does Doom's -%magic res work with this skill?

The skill desc for Psionic Storm says it does "magic feedback damage" - sounds like the mana sorc's "feedback damage" which can only be boosted by mana/energy. PS says energy not mana, so it's a bit different but... sounds a bit worrying (why didn't it just say magic damage if that's what it is?).

It works with doom. Mana sorc damage type is just called feedback, because, last i heard its treated as physical damage. I believe assassins feedback was made into magical damage, specifically to provide synergy with doom hard points. I think it was named feedback to avoid confusion whether or not it scales with %spelldamage and %phys/magic spell damage - it doesn't.

Are you doing high labs with vizjun set? Im thinking it might be very difficult with killing vector
