what skill(s) do you use on left click? I tried werewolf few minutes but i didnt like the playstyle too much. maybe because i didn't set the left click correctly..

For this build, I have left click set permanently to the Move-Only bind.

When my wolf got strong enough I have Mana Pulse on left click so I can farm with one hand and use other to drink coffee or beer.

Bossing is easy with MP on left click, Twisted Claw on W, Harbinger on Q.

I'm considering starting wolf druid and struggling a little bit with evaluating the 2.0 notes. Main points I see are:

Buffs:
- New short-term buff skill Howl of the Spirits (base duration unknown?)
- Harbinger damage buff

Nerfs:
- Cold Blood -20% attack speed, 3fpa unreachable. Some 4fpa weapon now better choice?
- Harbinger CD moved to new Ceaseless Fury
- Werewolf deadly strike moved to new Feral Escalation
- Feed the Pack LAEK nerf

Does anyone who has played this before have a better understanding of the overall impact?

You're pretty spot-on here. There might be a runeword that can reach 3FA or it might just be a flat nerf that locks us at 4FA (which is honestly still really good). To be honest, nerfing Cold Blood to only be able to hit 4FA is kind of exciting because it means it won't be the single viable weapon, which seems better/healthier overall.

More hard points will be required in Werewolf to get full avoid as well, which is also deserved IMO.

The new skill Howl of the Spirits sounds REALLY promising for Cold Wolf though, so overall it's possible we'll still feel "buffed" even with 4FA. Like, seriously just look at Howl of the Spirits :shock:

  • Feral shout that empowers yourself and nearby wolves
Nearby wolf reanimates receive:
  • 100% Chance of Crushing Blow
  • Your Cold Damage & pierce
  • Increased Movement, Velocity and Resistance

  • 25% Cold Pierce
  • Bonus Cold Damage from wolf skills is doubled
  • Your Mana drains 50% faster


That seems NUTS to me. We'll raise a bunch of minions from trash and then Howl at a boss and our minions all receive our cold damage/pierce? Hell yeah. And then we get a bunch of pierce and burst damage to boot? Sounds amazing to me!

Regardless, I am sure Cold Wolf will still be really solid and very viable, especially with new thigs like the Melee Devotion Mastery for 20% flat damage reduction.

I'll either be playing Cold Wolf again or going back to my first love of Holy Melee Paladin, we'll see which mood strikes me tomorrow :D

Don't forget the biggest nerf, cold dex wolf lost 25% maxblock (max block 75 became 50). So there is a defense loss, but should be acceptable considering it already had quite crazy def (high avoid + block + decent defense + decent hp)
The Howl is a lot of damage even not counting reanimates (on some bosses solo), sounds crazy
