Whirlwind uses its own speed calculation that uses only weapon attack speed.

For one-handed weapons and two-handed swords, the fastest frame is (WSM-WIAS) of -34, which is 49 weapon attack speed on Blacktongue, 44 on a Demhe flail, and 24 on a Demhe war scepter. You can use Gul runes (or 15 IAS 4 psd jewels) and MOs for weapon attack speed.


How would you calculate breakpoints with this?

Thanks!! That's really useful. One thing I don't fully understanding is: do you need to hit the breakpoints on both 1h weps, or just one to get the benefit?


Long story short, if it works like classic LoD then it's complicated and it only uses one while you're in range of a target, but if there's nothing in range it swaps back and forth (starting with glove side) until you get into range.

Anybody know if the MXL team ever tried implementing "Gear-Sets" like they exist in World of Warcraft for example, where they allow you to equip and unequip a full character worth of items with one button? Prebuffing is really eating away at my Sanity during my poison WW playtime

Unfortunately no nothing like this exists in median. Would be neat to have gear sets for sure.

at 116 mostly using the TU.. Where do you suggest as a farming spot to bridge the gap and pick up higher runes and SU? I'm mostly farming hell cows but I constantly get one shot when trying to kite/circle them.

at 116 the most efficient spot is definitely Tran Athulua, however if you're getting 1-shot in cows your defense/life are probably not high enough.
Make sure you're using as many runes as possible to max out runemaster, and make sure you have capped resists.
you can also farm sigs for a big vit boost. If you have more than 150k defense while ww-ing give TA a shot. If you're not tanky enough for it, you can run high heavens (make sure your poison res is capped).

I haven't played MXL in a few years, decided to roll a summon barb, and just switched from summon to poison WW at level 94 in NM A4 and I feel like I'm missing something. I have all of the recommended TU at (4) except my sword which is (3) because of the str requirement. I've MO'ed everything with poison damage, have poison damage and duration runes socketed, and have all of the recommended skills maxed. But I still require several passes with WW+Snake Stance to kill normal mobs, and any champs/elites/etc take like 30 seconds of WW to kill. I'm using

Death Pit Stake is the way. until you get 2 blacktongue swords. The procs really deals alot of damage.
