Yes old post. Are you dying a lot? Runemaster. Do you feel your dmg lacking? Nephalem and then you can also jewelcraft some more dmg/survival for summons.

, the aura probably doesn't stack with the passive if you take nephalem spirit, but could pair that with runemaster and socketing rune everywhere with minion dmg/life/rez/atkrating as required?
In the long run, i don't see a benefit for runemaster as you shouldn't be taking hits, other than ubers where it almost not viable to have summons around, defensively wise, you lose quite a lot if it's not a crafted and blessed with 6 jewel that are 10%+ into dmg or hybrid with life.
Even the base 3% jewels can provide more generic stats for res or %stats+flat and fcr/fhr and sometimes roll with the extra minion dmg or life, being more relevant than runes with runemaster.

However if you scale with Runemaster initially, silks should be a nice replacement over akara, if you don't manage to get a good crafted with tainted or magical, before fautz run and the currency from the uniques to reroll shrines.

It sucks, when I put it in on my 125+ level barb (with all relevant charms unlocked) it provides ~600 damage (in reality less because of %spell damage bonuses) which isn't boostable by anything. So against absorbing enemies and bosses it's even less, which doesn't look too stellar against the base 12k damage on my guardians.

That's quite a statement, how far did you get into the game? Runemaster can only be topped if you have GG crafted jewels in all slots ready to replace Hem/Iu runes, which is way later than anyone can tolerate playing Shaman.
