Played spear to 149 this season including killing Nith. IMO you should always take Continuity. It's not only extreme QoL but also allows for more time using pounce/great hunt rather than refreshing buffs. It also increases duration on superbeast if using Panthera's on swap.
I also think you can build way heavier into dex to make pounce an insane farmer, even in high tier labs. Running Dawn with Panthera's Bite on swap for superbeast and 2x high dex Ouroboros (not super SSF friendly, I know) can allow you to hit 10k dex and be one of the fastest farmers in the game.
