Earthquake is one of my favorite skills in the game.
Acronyms Used:
WPD: Weapon Physical Damage
SOR: Shower of Rocks
EQ: Earthquake
IAS: Increased AttackSpeed
WDM: Weapon Damage Modifier (Skill % on the skill itself, it effectively is a damage multiplier / divisor)
Pros:
One button gameplay
Fast bossing
Tanky (Leech, Armor or Block)
Simple Gearing
Cons:
Late Game (Labs) can be difficult if not properly geared
Cannot do certain Ubers without switching from all Str.
Managing "Power" can be tedious
Need to Know to understand how this build scales:
First how Weapon Damage is calculated.

1: Ethereal Bonus (25% base damage on weapon)
2: %Enhanced Damage (%ED)
3: +Flat Damage.
4: %Physical Damage, this includes %WPD from items, %damage from skills / passives and buffs and str/dex factor, which are all ADDED up into one big multiplier (%dmg = %WPD + %physdmg + %dex/strbonus)

Earthquake / Shower of Rocks has had many changes since 2.6. Mostly the new Power system. The power system requires a bit of min/max to get the most out of it.

The system works as follows:
1 Power Per 20 Weapon Physical Damage - Reduced by 1 per base level (Minimum 1 power per 10 WPD)
1 Power Per 200 Strength - Reduced by 10 per base level.(Minimum 1 power per 100 STR)
Examples:
6000 Strength @ Lv10 Tectonics = 60 Power
618 WPD from Lv59 Wolf Stance + Warmonger Passive @ LV10 Tectonics = 61 Power (Rounds down)
At 60 Power we receive a 12% duration SoR
at 140 Power we receive a 25% duration SoR
at 200 Power we receive a roughly 37% duration SoR
These procs inherit your SoR skill from the skill tree. Including the Aftermath upgrade.
These are deployed per earthquake attack

Earthquake is a two part skill. It has an initial attack that does 80% WDM, then an aftershock that does 180% WDM.
It gains +1 physical damage per level that is then multiplied by its skill bonus (14% per point spent)
This damage is NOT effected by the WDM modifer.
The bonus damage is effected by:

+ Skills from gear / Charms
Note: Unarmed bonus WPD (0.5% per point of STR does effect the bonus damage)

There are many, many differet ways to gear an EQ barb. I am only going to go over the most basic setup. Leveling is extremely fast, you likely will not spend much time here, so the setup is pretty simple.

Labs Note: Labs past Tier 5 will require you to swap in Perfect Gems (Bloodstone, Onyx, Amber, and Turquoise) to reach the resistance requirements. Generally shoot for 90%.

in here for the extra leech. The orbs that spawn and turn into the lasers always form the same pattern, you can sit where they don't land as long as they are not moving towards you. Her Pounce attack hurts when it hits and she does it if you get to far away.
