I went pretty hard on Essence while I could (thought not nearly as hard as many) but things have slowed down a little for me in terms of how much time I can devote to it.
First char: Phys Wander, hit 66 then hit a brick wall at maps. Too squishy without currency to invest in gear. Reroll, maybe play later when I can afford it.
Second char: Typical SRS/Spectre summoner. Level 80 and still making progress, but slowly. Was fun for the few days I played her but summoners are so boring to play. Reroll, but still use her to do dailies (my highest char atm).
Third char: My brother decides he wants to play so I sketch out a Pillar of the Caged God build. It's basically the Ancestral Warchief build but using Pillar. Unknown to me, he plans out basically the meta version of the build, sans Facebreakers. Fun to play together, lots of totems all over. Hit level 60 but he has a wedding to plan so we don't have much time. Reroll so I have something to do while waiting for him. This build should get absolutely insane when I get Abyssus- currently at 6k damage with my totem as a 4L and I have something like 20-45 flat phys on my gear.
Fourth char: I decide I've made enough currency to force a build I've wanted to try for a long time, the old Elemental Buzzsaw. Got a tri-elemental +attack speed foil for 1c. Just hit 60 and everything melts. Crits with cold damage are so satisfying, and the Heralds are super fun. Not sure if I want to try Hyaon's Fury and go for max Frenzy charges + The Blood Dance, or just use a good tri-elemental foil. Sad I'm not a Ranger (I went Scion), because Raider would be reeeeeeally good for Hyaon's. Oh, elereflect rares mean I oneshot myself so that's not cool, figuring out how to deal with that. It's fun having a superfast build.
