it depends on mod. if its just difficulty/quantity increase, then you should be able to play it with any char. if you trying some new skilltree/maps you should start new one. i recommend you to read mod description, if it has potential to fuck up your char, it will be written there.

Just be careful for some synergies mod, if you loaded some synergies mod character into non mod game, it will lose ALL SKILL POINTS!

Last time I played TQ, I will make sure I put "mod name" for my character so I wont messed up and load a wrong character.

Uppendaalen.

Started to play this again after a long break and installed Soulvizier mod which according to change log and public opinion is awesome. Leveling seems to be much more quicker, I just reached Spartan camp and I'm already lvl 8, nothing much else to add yet except a few new hero mob encounters that I don't remember being in vanilla.

Of course I started as the new class, Occultist. Seems to be very easy to start with, dual wielding swords spread poison/bleeding/vitality decay greatly and Breach takes care of trash mobs + heals me.
Now just the biggest and hardest question, what to choose as 2nd mastery? Warfare makes the most sense but last time I played Harbinger to near max levels so I'm done with that. Maybe Nature, Hunting or Spirit... we'll see later when I have some more levels and skill points to test stuff.

Edit: Shit, I was careless and messed up my chars skill points with camera mods... luckily TQDefiler seems to work with Soulvizier chars too.

Wait, TQDefiler now work with steam enhanced version too?

They just released a new patch couple of days ago, not sure if im gonna play (I even mod myself to give more runspeed + extra experience)
Marksmanship + Nature was so weak in legendary difficulty with new patch that left sour taste in my mouth.

Was fun when my friend was around to play with.

TQ, I doubt SV will see new patches anymore. Creator disappeared and porting the mod over to AE would propably take a while.

I don't know about that, I'm playing SV mod that sadly won't work with TQ AE.

Also I somehow screwed with patch installations and was playing "wrong" SV... Now I have everything correctly set, SV 0.96 installed and starting over. Luckily I wasn't too far in the game.

Yea, found it already. Added patch notes into first post. Checked online in TQ and GD few hours ago (in steam), each has 1.6k players, lol

Well my SV experience was short, some graphic bugs started to show up and I became afraid that some major failure will happen at the end of the game... game is already slow so starting over would suck at that point. :/

But Paths mod seems to work with AE along with TQDefiler and the new Vault so I started that. AEs fixes and new features (SPEED!) + Paths new masteries really revived this old game for me.

Started to play Berserker, there is just something sexy about dual wielding no matter the game. I love how freaking fast she is to attack and run, but very fragile as nearly all the skills gives penalty to armor. Leeching/regenerating is the only defensive ability and that makes undead pain in the ass.
