Its pretty damn decent. About a bit more content than Ashes , heavier on the lore , enemies are fukin tough and as far as im aware you cant cheese them unlike in Ashes where you just kited them to their pathfinding limits and wacked them. Also, a couple of few puzzles that are semi-clever. A few more DS1 throwbacks in it as well which is always welcome.
The grinning bad point of it was the ending for me. Pretty disappointing but seeing as its the end of the Souls series....kind of makes sense...?
Taking the words right out of my mouth Prime. I was hoping for a lot heavier of an ending, at bare minimum some physical appearance of Velka for once. The ending felt really shallow in general, and I didn't even realize it was the end until my friend I was co-oping with told me.
Miyazaki did say it was his last Dark Souls. and if I recall right, bandai does love getting equals shilled out. Perhaps we may get DS2's director again? Unless there is an official confirmation that I missed saying it was THE last one?

Also the boss invasion is a HUGE miss opportunity. Playing 1v4 and being basically spawn killed isn't exactly fun. Maybe I'll come back to it when I decide to make some creative build to act as a boss, but it's hard to share those sort of fun moments when it's hard to stay alive more than a minute.
