Median XL Launcher will not even open

I've been trying various solutions online. None are working.
I have Diablo 2 and LOD installed and they work fine, but with Median XL all I can do is install the launcher. No matter where i attempt to open the folder, it will not open. In Task Manager it shows 3 instances open taking minimal space and accounting for nothing.

I have deleted prefrences.json. I have run it as admin. I uninstalled both it and Diablo 2, reinstalled both (with the latter first), and nothing works.

Am I overseeing something?

Yes, close the ones running.

I did install Diablo2 in a folder, LOD in another.
Then install MedianXl in the Diablo2 folder. Never had problem.

Check settings in MedianXL launcher => Diablo II Installation Folder and select the Diablo2 folder. That's all.

If you're new : check d2stats tool. Will help a lot for quality of gaming.

Maybe it's easier, btw the game worked better this way.
