You can use w.e base weapon you want, just make sure its a base with a good attack speed modifier.

But you gain cool points coz crystal swords are kewl. :)

Obviously noone can force anyone to do whatever :D - i was only pointing out the way melee skills like lemures work on the right mouse button because its actually something that might be worth mentioning in a guide. Its a huge advantage of melee characters that dont have a forced bind on right mouse - like barbs stances - and from my knowledge there are quite many players that dont know about the change in behaviour/"gameplay" of such skills.

The dagger thing is just min-maxing and obv isnt gonna make much of a difference (1-2 more mo-spaces and -5 better base attack speed).

Im not really patient enough or in the mood to argue about crashes post right now :D.

Right now, I am only lvl 111 with my unholy paladin, and I have maxed both Lemures and Blood Thorns, but focused my gear around Lemures (Cold dmg, -enemy cold res etc) and Blood Thorns still feels so much better to clear trash with than Lemures, but Lemures is better on single target (unless they have high cold res). This is only my second char in MXL, my first (a fortress baba) only got to lvl 105, so I'm pretty newb, but so far it is working out ok. The only thing I dont like is having to re-cast my buffs so often.

I have a honor Crystal Sword in my stash, but I dont have the dex to use it, so using Demhe until I get the dex I guess. Someone told me I would get the dex by farming signets? Are they talking about the signets of learning?

depends if you sacrifice vitality early on. could make an honorific boot or glove or something with +50 dex/strength too

I see.

Anyway, my biggest struggle with this build so far, as I said earlier, is that I have to re-cast some of the buffs every 30-60 seconds. I find it to be really annoying with how Diablo 2 handles the skills.

. still has ias, new arachnomancy is really strong on small mobs (boss damage is okay and stacks well with other elements) and pretty cheap to equip. just losing a shield, I dont think thats a big deal though.
