i have been playing arround with some new features (oskills) that i may implement (or not) for that other buckshot necro miniguide and they need more testing . i have eraced it untill i will reach the final version of it (it was tagged with "work in progress " by the way ) . there are so many nice features out there , that it could be room for not 1 , but 3 more buckshot builds , totaly different starting from mid game
the high number of "bullets" shot by buckshot kill
very fast , be it single targets or small packs (3 shots for Hatred Baal , 5 shots for Terror Baal). the ammount of fire damage to weapon from Dragon Tail is very usefull in this situation as it provides (instant) MOAR fire damage for each shot (1-shot kills most opponents) . in my tests , Deadfall was kinda pointless because
most of the time when the SoR is proc'ed and the rocks start to fall , there are no more opponents there to fall on - they are allready dead (the killspeed of Buckshot alone is enough in early-mid game) - the rocks just hit the ground and the proc is wasted (and it's
only 10% ctc ) ; so the obvious choice was to go for more fire damage to weapon + you also got a
high chance to proc a strong fire spell (flamefront/rain of fire)
for buckshot builds SoR starts to be "ok" as a proc after you reach mid game and you need to fight
larger packs / reach the main farming spots . Deadfall was included in the other miniguide as an early game option mainly for the 10% more CB , while the SoR proc came as a "second feature" . (you can also see the

in this same situation - the proc is pointless for buckshot builds , but the item is still very viable because of the other features )
also , fighting in close range is not as dangerous as it may seam . that SoR debuff if pointless in hatred and terror when you 1-shot stuff and the leech penalty is small . it's not hard to stay alive with all that leech , LaK + LoS . you can tank as good as a melee . reanimates also do their part in providing some diversion and keeping your opponents busy from heading straight to you . You also reach some decent ammounts of defence + avoid + Lightning arena for some stuns
it's one of those very few weapon damage builds where Deadfall is outshined by other options
real life is a bitch these days , it keeps me very busy from the moment i wake up and untill i go to sleep . i hope i can get some spare time in the weekend to do some work for the compilation
