black hands compensate for the lack of bloodlust aoe somewhat

Tried it. It's meh.
With perfect gear and 850% fire spell damage, it was able to 1 shot fauzt (except the rainbow sorb knights) but it's definitely not a very tanky build and because they screwed up Eagle Stance (was supposed to be halved but they chunked it down to 33% of what it used to be) he has to potion chug. The little bit of LAEK isn't quite enough to stay alive even if you one shot most things.

ye all those freaky caster babas seem to got cucked with this eagle nerf, given we have no spell leech

field of builds & setups narrowing with each patch, something to think about for devs... for long time already.

Yeah it's killing me.
Off meta builds get nerfed immediately after they become popular.
Eagle stance went under used and under appreciated for the better part of a decade and then some showcases come out using it and the Devs nerf it into the ground.

Anyway on a more topic focused note, the cata build can definitely work. You could try to get some more LAEK from jewels but you'll sacrifice 40 FSD in exchange for 20 LAEK.
LAEK jewels are garbage tbh

You could also use Der nebelring for DR and I think it has LAEK as well. Not a bad idea, just losing a bit of damage

some laek is definitely possible
imo in ideal world baba should be tanky, less powerful caster, and for example soso - more powerful, less tanky.

I agree but unfortunately sorc is a garbage caster in regards to oskills.
Witch blood or whatever it's called doesn't work with non-sorc skills.

i haven't tried caster soso for a loooong time, didn't know about this, it is very crappy... :oops:

If you'd prefer a non barb MM caster, you can use the zon of course or the Paladin.
