ZORUN TZIN boss fight

So, I've been wondering, if there is a way to reliably not die in this fight to his teleport six-directional projectile attack? Other than entering his seek range with sacred armor popped up?

Before you say, stay in melee. Guy casts totems faster than you can purify them, plus he can jump with this instagib attack even if you move around same screen he is at.
Basically, when you try to kite him, sometimes you are positioned between those projectiles he releases after teleport, then you take no damage, but sometimes you get hit, and instantly die. It is random because it happens very rapidly. You can also dodge them (avoid stat) I believe.

Or is it just design to randomly die in this fight?

You should be able to kite it about 1/2-3/4 screens at a time and once he pounces, stay still or melee him until the projectiles disappear. I think if you're near the edge of the range, that's when they hit you? At least from what I've seen.

I usually try to kite him out of the range enough that when he jumps, the only totem that gives him a shield is the one he casts as soon as he pounces. So I save my purify for that first one, then hit him as much as possible before moving to a new screen again.

I don't know, my experience is when i start running away he pounces on me and I instantly die (or not if im positioned between these projectiles).

Ok figured it out.
As you mentioned, key is to stop running when he teleports. Also using teleport to move away helps.
3 kills with 3 different setups, dps, conquest and 50% slow + eagle.

your damage is really high. what i dont understand is why you dont purify even 1 statue

Imo it isn't worth with this damage to purify statue. You lose cooldown for teleport (or conquest).
Also quite often he just puts another statue, and whole effort is wasted.

Nice vid, good music choice as well. Perhaps you should make a compilation showcase thread for your stuff, seems like your new Median vids are just as epic as the old ones
