Is stormblast proc on gloves a possibility with creepy shrine? If so, would that help with killing necrobots in fauzt? Or am i wasting my time trying to roll for it?

Stormblast spawns on the glove itself. The type of shrine used has nothing to do with affixes other than what the shrine gives. In this case, Creepy will only affect Crushing Blow, Strength, and %Strength. The rest of the affixes are from the gloves themselves. Use the Affix Table in the docs to see.

Anonymous: wrote:Need advice/tips/ideas for melee paladin in fauzt and duncraig. I can do both dungeons without much of trouble (duncraig on p4 and fauzt on p3 with some hp pots). But the problem is the physical immune mobs, necrobots and necromorbs. I end up leaving them be while i run through other mobs like hot knife over butter.
My build is pure melee without solar tree. Using only runewords and few shrine crafts which give nothing special in proc department, just stats and skills. Amulet is +3 skills with banish, rings - purify and xorine. I could use two xorines for punishers on kill, but that will be interupting other skills more than i like.

Fuse / Fawkes merc is still legit but optimally you want to have
Minefield

Minefield
One-Handed Swords
Except Two-Handed Swords, Two-Handed Swords

'IgnTyrRalOhm'
Runeword Level: 100
If you have 90% Fire Resist: +50% Fire Spell Damage
40% Hit Recovery
+(25 to 30)% to Fire Spell Damage
-60% to Enemy Fire Resistance
Fire Resist +30%
Fire Absorb (1 to 2)%
Attacker Takes Fire Damage of (400 to 500)
. Also it won't help you in duncraig and if you play on higher pcounts then I have no idea how effective it'll be in fauzt. For optimal killspeed you also want to DA in front of big packs of necrobots so they target your merc (too much effort?).

which is 41 fspd.
= 292 fspd / -85 res

In the gif I'm still missing fspd, 42 from crafted jewels, 40 from MOs, +potentially 72 fspd / -17 res from perfect fascinating gloves/boots.
= 446 fspd / -102 res

... and it can go higher if you use a better amulet.

Using
Fuse (Xis)
increases total damage by ~40%.

I have no idea how it compares to A3 merc because I rarely use those and have never tested how they handle necrobots solo.

You have missed a lot. Last season Abjurer Supernova was bugged and op but it or Bloodmage are still pretty much immortal and melts necrobots.

Well the reason A5 merc has always dominated A3 is qarak's (+motw +tslam), but now that -res is harder to come by it's probably better to go A3 if they handle necrobots faster. Will have to do some tests.

Act 5 merc is still good for fauzt if you gear him with all Fasci craft. Fasci armor, belt and gloves already gives like 80% fire pierce (with rare amulet it can be 90%). For the res you can use Fasci/Creepy flamberge and Clawfeet boots.

I remember once testing clawfeet on A5 merc in SP and wasn't getting the ele damage bonus, but maybe that was a plugy reading issue, anyone trie with d2stats? Or maybe the ele damage boost can only be applied once and if you're using robe of leaves at the same time (which I probably was) you're not getting both, or maybe again a plugy issue.

Using a good fascinating craft helm is actually going to be better than fawkes in this patch due to res rework. And if you go all out with fasci I think going qarak's (RIP) is best choice.

-16 helm
-30 armor
-15 amu
-31 gloves
-16 boots
= 108

Which is still going to be enough. Skipping fuse is absolutely no-no.
