Well, I did the sewers after LC2, so I was lvl 84 if I remember correctly (I farmed meph to get to that level before LC2)

was my advice abou t gearing for meph on hatered and thru act 5 hatered decent? i mean its wehat i did and im not the best gamer and not having the fastest reaction time being older than dirt.. i just found the setup listed to work well and provide some nice all purpiose boost for early game where other than resist and minion life and a few skill boost we arent worried bout much til honourifics time

Did you try teleporting half a screen away from mephisto? That should be far away enough to not let your merc and totems get hit. tbh I got through hatred without my merc having any armor at all. I only gave her the Black Dame bow and easily got through hatred.

Say, do you revive your merc and then continue? Or do you revive your merc, rejoin the game and then continue? Because mercs in Median XL have a buff in order to make them viable (insane damage bonus & better defensive stats for example). That buff will only apply after re-entering the game. So if you revive your merc and then continue walking, it makes sense that the merc can't take much damage.

And the only thing you can do in order to make your totems tankier is upgrading your weapon (don't forget the rune when you uptier the unique in order to reroll the stats for a better amount of +necromancer skills) (EDIT at this point: You can also keep using

If everything fails, make a TP just before you go to Mephisto. Since the corpse spawns in town next to you ever since the latest patch, you can go ahead and try all you want if you just have enough TP's.


Yeah, my strategy has thus far to be a half a screen away or so, but as I (apparently like bradr) have the reaction speed of a potato, if he comes near and does the ice explosion or (I think he casts) singularity, totems die in one hit, sometimes two. If my Merc dies, usually I just rely on Frostclaw totems to finish him off, as it's not worth resurrecting her to have her die again unless I start a NG. Although, I didn't know about the buff issue. Usually if I res it's after a NG, so I'll keep that in mind and see if it makes a difference next time. Still, with their current survivability, I think it's still faster to farm Andariel or maybe just continue through A4..

Also, I'm not forgetting the rune when I uptier. No worries about that.

as for you max your items to the lvl you are....obviously not TU6...perfect bloodstones in your staff i found using queen of glass armour better than faunt visage since it has much lower reqs and some good bonuses.. so its not hard to get the str to max lvl and have points left for vit and energy .. make a felblood amulet same as you made the merc one.. get it with the +2 minions.. and the bonus +1 skill from luck...oil... 2 rings with minion life or all resist and orb them with minion life and the 4 types of resist... for all armour socket with ith crafted jewels for resist hopefully with minion life bonues or ort crafted you cant use ist crafted yet but ort crafted lowers reqs.. and often youll get resist or minion life affixs or take a jewel and make it unique and try to get katamari jewels that have minion life and dam and resist on em its a unique jewel you can make em just like you kept re rolling for the amulets... (.they are only useful until you get to lvl 51+ where you can make and start to use ist crafted jewels.... ) use sockets to boost minion life and your resist and if you have lvl space on the rings and amulet orb em for the same things..


for my orther equip i used queen of glass armour body armour /tu marrow staff/toorlocs gift the tu heavy leather gloves/lionspaw tu chain boots/the umbrau'sjinx mask tu mask ./aerin orbiter the heavy belt tu ..and somewhere in there socket 1 or 2 perfect diamonds in one of them just to add a 10% str bonus again this will ma the max 320str needed for tu6 body armor and umaru's jinx mask tu6 (which youll hit eventually )everything easy to reach and give you points to add to energy and vitality


you should have 240% + minion life 170%+minion dmg 20%+cold dmg and resist to all should be above 100%

he died almost out of screen... once you get into terror can start finding better rares with +skills etc and crafting shrines .. but for early game i found the tu items listed work well to get me to the point where i was able to make and use honourifics... and focus my items specificlly followwhat HH said to me .. when you get to shrenk and farm 4 marks of infusion .. at lvl 50ish? TP to charsi act 1 blacksmith buy grey or supiror or magic boots/gloves/cap/sash upgrade em to magic with oil of enchants.. make sure they have no listed lvl reqs.. otherwise keep re rolling em til they have no listed level reqs.. then make em into base honourific items.. oil of luck em...too then. add 5 minion life orbs 5 all resist orbs and 5 minion resist orbs so each ho9nourific requires lvl 60 .. so youll wear them once you start terror do baalruns til you get to lvl 60... and then switch to your honorificis for your non body armour stuff and start terror diff


I'm investing somewhat heavily into strength, so the T3 Visage I have isn't as much a problem at the moment. Your gear suggestions are pretty good, and I'm missing a lot of pieces of it, but now that I think of it I really should look into maxing my minion resists. I think they're fairly low at the moment, and given his ice spell usually slaughters my totems, that might be the real problem. And as minion resists are something I should be focusing on anyway...

I think I'll just try and clear A4 next time I play. If I can start to make honorifics for resists and life, that seems like something that will benefit me more than just unique farming.

okay so im now in my 60s says i can get up to 20% nmin life on ist jewels so might be worth trying to create some to replace my perfect bloodstones

BUT when i look at crafted jewekls it says ist 4%-6% not 20??


also did i miss something im doing terror act 1 stuff .just noticed you suggested getting classcharm before doing terror? even though its a lvl 80 challange?? should i really try it at 64??

Jewels can spawn with up to 15% minion life. If you add the 4-6% of the craft bonus, you can get up to 21%

K3k in hatred is easy and gives good exp. There‘s not a single character I‘ve played where I didn‘t get the class charm on level 60.

Just ignore the skeletons and teleport straight to the right. That necromancer never has any shield so you don‘t need to kill the totems that grant invulnerability to the enemies close. If your map spawns you at the right side of the map, reroll the map (in SP you can simply create a TCP/IP game to reroll the map)

i can just use the reroll map feature from plugy regen map on start enabled..?


and so im lvl 64 even maxing embalm DFT howland frost totem
and 8 points in skel flayers ive a lot of extra skill points i have 1 in all summons except skel 1 in fire totem 1 in boneyard funeral nightwalker bend shadows and sacrifice....

should i put a few in ram[pager to get that 7th one??(the +2 max minions from felblood) or put a few pioints in nightwalker so my totems have damage resist??

or should i take skel flayers above 8 hard pioints(itsa at 19?? skill lvls including adds... should i invest more hard points there??just cause those are my main minions make em more buff and increase the spell dmg from demon blood aura??


im in a kind of limbo between the late early game honourifics and skill plan.. and not quite at the transition to mid game skill and equip

remember minion resist max is 75% min life is way more important at hatered lvl ..

TCP/IP is basically creating a LAN game. In main menu of the game you can choose between single player, closed b.net and other multiplayer. Click on other multiplayer, then on tcp/IP, go in with you char, leave the game and get back to SP.

Concerning skillplan: I personally prefer puttin points into Nightwalker to make your totems tankier. You will almost never have to resummon your totems that way (Diablo terror and Baal terror are an exception and maybe somewhere in act 4 due to heretics)

You can always try your own build and put more points into rampagors for example. Getting another one isn‘t that bad. It‘s just becoming redundant as soon as you have enough +skillpoints to max the amount of rampagors with 1 point invested. Giving skeletal flayers more life isn‘t that shabby either. However, since you resummon them anyway when you teleport around you probably don’t need that life bonus.

okay the necro in enead challange dies to quickly LOl 7 lamia 7 ramps and 11 skel flayers just trunce everything by the time i can find the dro using d2stats even half of the cubeing time is already gone seen lotsa pally and druid charms no necro soul shards

edit yea found the charm i needed!!!! ohh so the resulting upgrade isnt useable til i hit 90?? okay,..

well guess i wont have those bonus 2 skl lvls til i hit 84 and do lc2...

but cool

so when do i run into shrines and sets and sacreds??

Shrines can drop anywhere in terror. They are quite rare though. Sets can drop from terror act 4 on (if I remember correctly)
