Tantrum is effective and easy to use. Barb has wolf companion which adds really good synergy to multihitting skills like tantrum. Drops are better in single player, but after you get familiar with the mod a little bit I suggest switching to realm for extra features and other people.

Go to terror fautz and take 1 one each shrine vessel with you. Then run fautz 3-5 times. Youll get around 70-100 shrines per run and just fill up your vessels. Then start crafting your bow.

PS. Make sure that you got an already rare bow drop on destruction. Dont upgrade a sacred bow to rare that you found lying around on terror or dest.

doom amulet is a terrible idea with smaxed wolf companion as the crappy doom from it will overwrite the op one from your wolves, same for banish amulet rly.

get one with lightning arena instead

Is lightning arena useful if you want to run around and set up tantrum traps. And monsters don't go after you because they are stuck in arena ?

if they are stuck in arena they are easy pickings for your tantrum

lighting arena is not the point anyway, the point is that curses overwrite each other so with maxed wolf companion its counterproductive to have them

It depends on your play-style. If you prefer to stand still and cast tantrum then doom amulet doesn't add much. If you prefer to cast and lure monsters across a few screens, then doom amulet will proc far behind than wolves can reach. I think Lightning Arena can be more useful for casters/trappers than for tantrum builds.

Created a complete character guide
Doom from wolf companion is definitely far superior to doom from amulet, especially with 35 points in it.

But a wolf only dooms one enemy at a time and they aren't programmed to run around the the visible area dooming every individual enemy. So while at any given time, as many as 8 wolves are targeting 8 nearby enemies, that still leaves lots of enemies in view unaffected. The doom from amulets has a much larger radius(nearly full screen) which encompasses the surrounding area quite nicely. While the additional damage from lvl 44 doom is inferior to WC, the majority of whats on screen is now prone to additional damage from arrow/knife/time strike etc. The wolves are still free to doom nearby enemies which will then overlap the previous doom, its just a matter of them re-applying it.

Also remember that the doom isn't the only reason for wolves but also to make sure the total character defense & damage bonuses from spirit guide are active as much as possible.

I think you're underestimating the radius of WC doom though, they don't apply it to one enemy at a time only but in a 6 radius yard ( 16 hard points, assuming it does not grow larger with more hard points )

kraken stance section claims MOTW will boost kraken elemental dmg, this should be edited since it's not true

ttad is useless since atm it only works on direct melee hits

also wouldn't life after kill MOs be better than leech ones for early game since you have low physical dmg?
