Introduction

If anyone played the old spitting cobra barbarian for a few patches ago, they will remember how strong they were. This is an updated version that is more of a hybrid so that it covers some of the downfalls of the original build enjoy. :D

Pros:
•Good Defence
•Epic slow
•Good mix of elements

Cons:
•Limited SUs for this type of build (not really a con)
•No use of procs (unless you choose differant gear. Its all Possible)

Final Stats
Strength: Enough for gear, put all here first. (around 300 is a good figure)
Dexterity: Base
Vitality: All
Energy: Erm, not for him

Skill Plan:

1 Pointers:
Blood Hatred, Iron Spiral, Death Gaze, Bear Claw,Wolf companion,Ancient Blood, Fortress, Spirit Guide, Lion Stance, Bear Stance: all prerequisites, not used.
Earth Quake: sends out a 3/4 wdm wave in the direction of your attack, has ND. good for early levelling when you need AoE.
Ice Blast: Storm blast, but with ice, huge amount of hits, 1/2 wdm attack 100% cold damage conversion (physical only is converted) so Leech is useless, great with Crushing Blow. This is our main Poison immune killer.
Mountain King: Percentage Stats Boost, too good to miss.
Windform: Spin to win, great single target or small mob killer when stampede is on cooldown. Good utility too, surrounded? spin out of the pack like they are not there :flip:
Immortal: Avoid when standind still, which you wont be doing very often, and hit recovery boost.
Thundergod: Periodic thunderslams, more lightning damage, ThunderGodly skill

Some pointers (not maxed):
Stampede: 5+ points Our main skill, throws a wave of 3/2 WDM axes and stuns for 1 sec, feel freee to take/add points here as you feel fit depending on your play style, as it has no hard point bonus +skills work great with this (yes you can survive with this as a 1 pointer :!: ) put points here early on to make things easier.

Maxed Skills:
Daedlaus: Flat Lightning damage, Flat Life boost, And AR% boost, increasing returns.
Snake/Eagle Stance: Snake For damage and slow (caps at 50% btw) and synergies with Eagle stance to further boost damage, keep eagle on switch for some Marvin Gay, sorry, healing
Rune Master: Our Uber of choice, Defence boost that Multitiplies with TCD, gives us a good defence rating

?v=xvc&class=3&lvl=120&bonus=1111111111111110000&skills=1_1_0_0_0_1_1_1_30_1_1_8_0_0_0_0_0_0_0_0_1_1_1_1_1_1_32_1_30_0_0_18_0_1_1_&mg=1101&sos=3&name=

Leveling
Early Game, (ie pre lvl 6) use lion stance and Earthquake with all points into Strength, careful not to over level in blood moor before LC0.
Mid-late game: use Stampede as soon as you are comfortable with its range, combined with SS you will be killing most things quickly (or keeping them slow and stunned while they die) use Ice blast for Poison Immunes, use eagle stance for tankyness/healing
Level Challenge 0: Lion Stance and EQ, pick up crystal dont get hit by beam. nuff said.
Level Challenge 1: By lvl 50 you will be using your main skills, take it slow as we dont have great defence yet, try not to pull large mobs, and hit and run as required. its easy with a bit of practice.
Level Challenge 2: Not doen yet
Ennead Challenge: Stampede skeleton groups even when under shield, they can still be slowed, Windform totems until poisoned, then kite until they pop , or if a gap allows IB them, dont try to tank if too many archers are around, the hurt even when high on resists. when fighting Necros use SS to slow/poison everything, switch to eagle and freeze his face off. wind form out of miasma, its quicker than trying to run.

Use this in your Offhand, MO with LaK -%res and a few skills not much else, can be used in main hand if you want more Elemental damages

Weapon 2:

Honorific Balanced axe
Use the highest tier you have\can use, MO with CB first, then damage MOs, use this in your main hand, IB hits so much CB is fantastic.

Skill, -%res and Some Def, good starter for 10

Helm:

Any rare Barb helm with +skills

There is not a lot for us to use here in the RW or TU section, hence the above.

Gloves and Boots:

Both Honorific, MO with -%poison resistance as a priority as when you get -100% your poison damage is QUADRUPLED!, this is because it doubles the duration as well as the damage. Get these early by fishing for Snappers in the underground passage or exploit the rune\throwing item sale price thingy

Great item for us, AR%, Dex and additional Poison damage (read poison damage explained!) this lasts us well into end Game. the only bad is the defence is quite poor.

Jewelry:

Rares again here, there are some Unique pieces that can be good, but rares seem to be better. try to get +skills on all, anything else is a boost. small note, use a lol summon on one of your jewelry pieces, its very useful

Sockets/Jewels:
Not really important early game.

'Sur'
Runeword Level: 75

Slow Target 20%
Regenerate Mana +15%
Cold Resist +40%
Physical Damage Reduced by (11 to 15)
+(3 to 5) Mana on Striking
2% Reanimate as: Random Monster

This gives us the ability to freeze most mods on the spot, combined with snake stance, 83% slow! (note: elites and bosses are capped 50%) by the time the AI restarts Stampede is usually off cooldown so perma stun is possible. Make this in the Highest tier Balanced axe you have (preferably sacred) luck MO it and add Damage and CB orbs, you end up with this:

Image

Weapon 2:

Gehenna (RW)

Use this in your off hand, and make it in what ever you want to. The physical damage is fairly un important as this is only used for stats, the proc will never trigger!! the +poison spell damage can work wonders, though only while using wind form as it is a direct melee hit.

:D but now with RIP modifier, so far, much better than reanimates. (wonder why i didnt mention reanimates anywhere?)

Fill all available sockets with runes, try not to use a rune with a higher level than your crafts as it limits your MO space.

Challenges
Level Challenge 0 (LC0):
As i said before, lion stance and earthquake, dont get hit by beam. probably one of the fastest runners for this.

Level Challenge 1 (LC1):
Take it slow, do NOT get swamped or pull big packs (10+), hit and run. easy.

Level Challenge 2 (LC2):
Summon and run away, spam stampede in their direction, you should have Void as your main by now (maybe not in a sacred, a T6 will do fine) they soon drop, Bacon Rasha should also be slow, offensive wind form or keep spamming stampede, dont try to Tank him in melee, your hit recovery is atrocious. when you have swirlies cube class charm with perfect gem (NOT jewel)

Ennead Challenge:
Slow skellies with stampede and snake stance, it applies slow even when they are under shield, windform totem and kite. alternatively, windform totem and smack the crap out of it with Ice blast. remember to use snake stance when windforming offensively and eagle when defencivley.

Black Road Challenge:
These can be done in any order. i have listed in the order i did them. it makes it much easier (ie very easy!) to get some of the easier Uber charms and be level 120 before attempting it:
Trial of greed: get 666666 gold on your character, done
Trial of fear: kill butcher using lol summons to make him spawn a pentagram, get him to stand in it, hit with IB a few times, done.
Trial of contrition: Use stampede on the bear guards, when its just koth left WF him and IB, done
Trial of Knowledge: fautz is faily easy with this set up, take your time and collect the 5 brains from the overlords, dont rush and you will have no problems. Cube the 5 with your class charm, done.
Trial of Blood: This one can be a little tricky, took me a couple of attempts (mainly from killing priestess too soon). First clear the room with the gold chest near the start point, then proceed toward the lightning priestess clearing the zons as you go, ignore the fire one, kill her when you get to her, go slow near the lightning one though, dont mindlessly spam stampede youll kill her without realising! Pull groups back a bit and clear them if shes a no show, when she does appear switch to eagle stance (it counteracts most of her tremor ability) and draw her toward that room with the gold chest. Providing your defence is high enough and your regen is good you can ignore a few zons with her, Teleport across to gold chest (hence the ealier clearing) and run to ice, kill all on way and clear and annoying barrels. In ice room spam Stampede she is usually close enough to give you swirls when she pops, run as fast as you can to lightining and kill her, can help to WF through her first. When she dies immediatly TP and cube charm while you have swirls. Surviving isnt hard, its timing the two kills. Done!

Minigames:
Minigame 1: Witch Queen: Use your lol summon do group witches away from you and tempt out a countess minion, kill, dodge death strike, cube class charm with ETH rune.
Minigame 1: Crowned: use lol summon to inspect every witch you find, they get a distinctive star on them when you find a good one, use summon to put her pounce on cooldown and approach her until you get the star, cube class charm with THUL rune while you have star.
Minigame 1: Mirror Mirror: Kill shard spawns in Baals room until you get swirls, cube LEM rune with class charm. This only has a 1% chance so it may actually be easier to do on destruction

Veteran Tokens:
Keep an eye out (lol) for evil eyes on the floor, most drop without an issue, clawstorms are poison immune, so hit and run using Ice Blast, and keep them slowed. they occasionally fade out and become unable to be hit (amazing grace?) walk away until it fades.

Act Boss Tokens:
Kill Boss pick up token, i found Big D the easiest to rerun for the extra tokens, its one of each +2 prime evil ones (7 in total) so all bosses need killing three times and big D 9. You can also run Baal instead with hope of mirror mirror challenge working, but i found the slog up to him to be full of Poison immunes.

Uberquests:
Easy
Medium
Hard
Immpossible
Not done yet

Dungeons:

Death Projector : Approach and Lure Mechanics to the bottom right. Leave them there and run round to the top, approach the DP from the top (not the side as you can get caught by an unexpected beam) Lure one or two mechanics back to the DP, when its shield drops offensive WF it, kite and pick up charm. Do not IB it unless your feeling lucky, it can send a reverse beam of on being struck.

Creature of Flame: Kill familiar, it shouldnt pose a problem. Select Eagle stance, get hit by a guardian and smack Creature with IB, pick up charm. easy

Infernal Machine: Spam Stampede form doorway to slow everything down and run at Machine, watch out for death strikes, offensive WF it and smack it with IB, pick up charm, if you get pounce on by serafiends or Alpha Centaurs, WF away and keep health up with Eagle, as long as machine is poisoned kiteing is an alternative approach.

Rathma Square: Erm, since the removal of the flying scimitars the gore crawlers have multiplied like rats in a grain silo, enter and die from 9999999999999 exploding things, they seem to have ITD too.

Azmodan: Same as K3BA, slow it down, and WF Azmo, if hes not to packed up hit him in the face with IB.

Cathedral of Vanity: Lure Inarius and as many of the Nuns into the entrance as possible, slow them with Stampede and SS, head toward the crystal ball, stay north of it as its beam rotates anti-clockwise, WF it when the beam stops, keep moving as if you stand still, the high clerics cast shurriken flurry and combined with inarius's Doom it will splat you. They don't spam it fortunately and resort to Mind Flay, your high light res means it tickles a bit, switch to eagle and belt the ball with Ice Blast, it goes quick. Slow the clerics with Stampede and SS and either keep kiting and wait or smack em with IB, Mop up nuns and finish off inarius to collect charm. this Will take a few attempts hence the medium difficulty.

Vizjun

Toraja

Startled Witch

Uldyssian

The Void

Summoning:

The Butcher: Lol summons again here, use them to get a pentagram and the smack him with IB when he stands on it. He hits like a rocket truck you will only be able to take one or two hits even with high life (unless signet fed)

The Binding of Baal: Same as LC2, no issues

Assault on Mount Arreat: Same as Black road, Easy.

Akarat: Summon on the crossroads, hit him with Stampede, dodge Hammertime, WF him when only a few left and vunerable. can be a bit hit and miss as he heals from time to time. if feeling lucky smack him up with IB too, just be aware of hammer time.

Legacy of Blood: Lol summons help to distract golems (for aproximately 3 seconds) Either Stamp or WF Bartuc when he WWs if you die and hes poisoned wait until he drops before pressing any key and continuing

Lord Aldric Jitan Pain in the :!: hes PI and all his many minions spam fortress at you, best option is to summon him in the entrance to halls of pain TP and re enter through the red portal, lure them down one at a time (difficult) and kill them with IB watch out for Singularity when they die, hopefully Jitan comes out on his own then you can take him south until his minions shield no longer effects him (if theres any left) and kill him.

Judgement Day

Zorun Tzin

Brother Laz

MarcoNecroX

Secret: Inarius’ Revenge Summon, spam Stampede and SS, KEEP MOVING and watch out for Death strike, very easy this one.

Uber Levels:

Kurast 3000 BA
Again the same as your Ennead Challenge, slow the Skellies, Poison Totem either with Stampede or WF, Kite, kill skellies/necros. You can run the alternative map easily too :)

Island of the Sunless Sea Spam Stampede, look for hit markers from the mana on striking from Void, this will give you a clue as to pack density, pick up gold if needed. Killed Lucion without even seeing him, malic can cause a small issue as his punisher balls of instadeath look like stampede missiles (and are sometimes invisible)

Khalimgrad Pain in the ass Lantern Archons stack and sometime go invisible (sprite issues) insta jib can happen quite easily, run the first avatar to get the ear (easy) farming (Medium)

Tran AthuluaAgain play it like you did when doing the LC1 its now easier due to your defence, pull big packs if you wish but keep moving!

Fauztinville

The Triune

The Unformed Land

Kingdom of Shadow

Ghosts of Old Bremmtown

Duncraig

Yshari Sanctum

Wretched Hive

Feedback and advice welcomed as always, will add uberquest tips as soon as i have completed them

Thanks to Chuck for pointing out Rune master is no longer a 1 pointer, have adjusted guide accordingly.

I suppose do you know that poison spell damage actually is useless with poison of Snake Stance... They are diferent types, so the LCS is lying you showing a false poison damage increase. -Res works wonderfully.

+poison spell damage can work wonders, though only while using wind form as it is a direct melee hit.

All spell damage apply to a direct melee hit.

1-pointer runemaster with no extra defence from spirit guide will get you raped in most hard ubers . it is no wonder you start feeling pain even at Jitan . i would swap the wasted points in ancient blood and put them into runemaster for more defence .

use an item with huge +skill lvls, equip it and then reequip all your gear with runes, switch back to your normal weapon. This is how you prebuff your runemaster correctly. 1pt might be enough i cannot tell.

The crafts are actually pretty bad :)

So just to make it clear, prebuff runemaster in a similar way that you'd prebuff Enchant from LoD?
