It's nice that median is on sort of new engine, theres auto gold pickup etc etc

But there is still a problem of procs. Median is full of them, the whole game stands on them, at least for WDM chars (but spellcasters too, their on kill effects mainly)

Diablo II isn't too kind when it comes to telling you what a proc does. It only says % chance, skill level and skill name.

Now how is a new player (or even old player) supposed to tell whether a proc is good or not on just this information? It can be some obscure shit like 2% ctc hammertime on kill. What the hell is hammertime (it isn't a player skill) and how much damage it does. I have an amulet with ctc Banish. This is a curse, its AOE but what the FUCK it does?! I have NO way of telling, I can't find Banish oskill to check, I can't find any information on what is the curse effect and magnitude. It can be great, but it might as well be fancy colors over the enemy and not much else.

You should be able to shift-click on an item and display the proc info - just like you mouse over your player skill. You see how much damage it does and what it does.

there used to be a page in the docs for what do the item-only skills do + a spell damage calculator tool . both the page and the tool were removed since Sigma was released , but probably just for it being updated , so we might have them back soon

meanwhile , you can either ask in the short questions thread about any proc you need answers , or look here https://docs.median-xl.com/doc/wiki/affixes to see where it spawns as an oskill , craft the item that has it and see for yourself what it does .

example :

You can google "median xl xxxxx" and put the skill in the xx area.

Median XL Hammertime pulls up
https://median-xl.fandom.com/wiki/Hammertime

You can then see the skill calc at
http://dev.median-xl.com/?script=skillcalc

Find the skill you are looking for, be it spell, attack or passive. You can easily look up the damage and stuff for the level of the skill.
If you happen to know your precise energy factor, strength factor, spell damage, stats, etc, then you can sort of calculate how strong that spell or proc will be.

SOMETIMES when you google the skill, there will be a youtube video or gif somewhere showing the actual animation.

So, for 2% ctc level 30 Hammertime on Akarats treks, I looked up this.

what part of the "the skill calculator tool is outdated" is hard to understand ?

hammertime deals 75% weapon damage in sigma . the outdated tool shows 3/2 wd which means 150% .

everything you try and calculate in sigma with that tool will show incorrect values !

no , do not calculate anything . the result will not be real
