It’s normal. NM Baal is the strongest foe you‘ll encounter until level 125. the only way to kill him is by going back to town repeatedly and resummoning your minions, teleporting on Baal, and immediately turning back until your minions are dead and repeat.

- some visual updates and fixed mistakes that were long overdue as well as midgame skills changed to what previously were endgame skills already.

Other than that, there's nothing new to see here. Due to some RL issues I'm back in my hometown. Going back to Berlin next week. So yeah... trying out a different spec will have to wait until then, else it's just wasted time.

This build looks interesting but I'm not sure the playstyle suits me (letting minions do all the killing).

I get the feeling that an oskill could add a bit more player involvement (yes it would probably mean changing at least one piece of gear). I tried looking up the wiki list but although it lists the oskills I couldn't really tell very much about them (how powerful they are, what they do, range, damage type, what they look like etc).

So it seems best to ask here: if this build were to add an oskill, which would be best?
And is that even a good/viable idea?

P.S. What do you think about

No need to go that far. You could also just go with Divine Judgement as an attack skill and a weapon with more damage. That helm may offer Wolf stance, but without any + to additional stance radius, it won't affect your minions.

Thanks I hadn't appreciated the radius thing (I wonder why devs make such useless items!).

I see what you mean re divine judgement (I was thinking the idea of the build was to stay out of melee range but since Colosseum means teleporting into them anyway and with high def and resists, why not melee!).

So I imagine just 6 points to remove timer? What weapon would you recommend for that option. Apologies if that's been asked before but the thread is now at 30 pages which is a long read!

seem like good compromises between minion stats and dps in my opinion.

Sorry, but since I didn't test it out yet, I can't give an advice on what weapn to use. I'd probably just go with a crafted weapon for more damage.

Thanks, they seem good ideas. I'll keep an eye out for those.

Hi there,

Thanks for the great guide. This is my first char in Median XL and overall since coming back to D2 after all those years.

My question is regarding the recommended starter weapon for the Sumodin, you have listed: Weapon: Prophecy --> Dies Metus

However Prophecy according to the docs can only apply to scepters and not maces. I tried socketing a grey goedendag with a jewel and the Ith rune and nothing happened, it didn't turn into the Prophecy runeword. I also tried applying the Ith rune on a unique (gold) Dies Metus with the same result.

Could you please clarify what you mean by Weapon: Prophecy --> Dies Metus?

Thanks!

Runewords can only be created in grey items (=white items with sockets). What I mean with that expression is that before you go and get Dies Metus, you can use Prophecy. An ith rune can easily drop in act 1 and that +1 to all skills and the resist really help you out early on. You can create that runeword in a grey scepter, war scepter or a Grand scepter. It wont work in any other item.

Dies Metus can be crafted later on once you have access to Mephisto and can farm uniques for arcane shards/arcane crystals.
