It's not illegal, but it's also not legal. Rules page lists D2Stats as the only allowed tool.

What I'm missing? Got umbaru treasure from Terun but bought ghost shard from the market. Tried to roll it with the treasure, but nothing happened...

It only works on full charms, meaning you need to first cube the umbaru treasure with 20 essences/runestones.
