How are you guys speccing?

Stormeye is the most obvious I think, since it is now AOE, but man the range is SHITTY!

Combining Stormeye with Fireheart gives much faster clear speed, but I loose out on DEathward, as I am now putting skills into Jinn for the extra pierce, so that setup is extremely squishy.

Does anyone have any insights on the Totemancer?

For me Stormeye bad even maxed them. Probally its because i have shitty piercr. Currently 50 elemental pierce but changed to max Fireheart instead and 1 Stormeye.

Btw do you guys have high def or any avoid? Is 1 point into Dwathward worth?

Rathma Chosen is 100% useless to totem necro. just get a veil king for a tank

I feel like Jinns are still the way to go for the free pierce as long as you don't mind resummoning them, I think it might be better to actually gear a merc half decently to do the tanking for you.

Yes Jinns are the way to go imo, I think in late no uber skill may be the way to go if you manage to get enough pierce elsewhere. They are also decently tanky if you max them.

I also agree Stormeye totem feels trash, the aoe is not good, it's not high dmg for that it doesn't have high cast speed or is multihitting (from what it looks like doesn't). With great gear it might do dmg, but even then I doubt it would be good enough.

Personally using max Embalming, Jinns, Death Ward, Soul Bond, Totemic Mastery and the rest in Fireheart totem atm. Dmg is alright despite my gear still sucking. Can't imagine playing this without the defensive skills.

, and a whatever shield. I kept Souldbound, Fireheart, Stormeye and Totemic Mastery all maxed, and did about 10 points in Embalming and 6 Points in Death Ward. I did Jinns as well, but they are really not very good without much minion bonuses, next time I'd do just one point in Rathma's Chosen.


Rathma Chosen is 100% useless to totem necro. just get a veil king for a tank


Veil King dies to midgame ubers too much without pumped Death Pact. Jinns die to regular trash without minion gear. Rathma's at least give you an untargetable minion that buggs out mobs AI. None are really any good for totems, Jinns are logical but without many Max Skills Increase or any minion life gear they are cannonfodder.
