well they are not actualy summons , you may consider them as traps as they stay in one spot and shoot your enemies. since you are only allowed the use of melee and summoning (real summons) by the grim presence , you cant use slayers .

Because you dont have enough defense, avoid chance, and block chance to counter his attack rating.

Try increasing them and go there to stand still and check his hits if they still land 2 or 3 times in a row

If they do, it means that they cast a spell that looks like a melee attack which cant be avoided unless you have avoid skill or defense vs missiles

Ps: the attacks could be melee however might be programmed to hit chance 100% as part of the uber lvl

Okay traps makes perfect sense.

So simply having points in grim presence negates the warlock skills except stormlord correct??

if you have the grim presence active , you won't be able to cast the warlock spells . if it's not active , you may cast them . it's about having that buff on or not

I tried today when all my buffs had lapsed (I'm fairly certain) but it was still impossible. I'll try again when I get home from work.

Nope. I just went to the nearest waypoint before casting Grim Presence or anything.

Can't cast Mind Flay, SoD, or Slayers. Meh...

you can't have points into it, regardless of active or not

Actually I'm unsure because the patch notes say that points in Grim Presence disable Tainted Blood, but TB is now a lvl 24 skill. Doesn't Grim Presence disable ranged abilities though?

It makes sense.

Some of us are easily confused by such things as Lemures - is a homing ice wraith ranged?? Is SoD a buff??
