is a must in early/mid game section for lemures build. You'll be suprised by the results.

This look nice, but it rises a question: From where will getting enough Attack Speed, as none of these items have any.

I am a completely bloody noob in D2 and just started this with a friend who has deep D2 knowledge but is also a pleb in regards of this huge huge Add-On.

I really want to get this Unholy Pala working but several things are like pure cockblock. First, the Wiki is nowhere near being up to date at all. Second, almost none of the guides are being updated regularly. And third, there are so many conflicting posts in this thread that my brain is smoking already.

My issues:

Everyone talks about maxing Grim Presence and Tainted Blood, yet those two skills BLOCK each other. If I skill TB I cant skill the ENTIRETY of the GP tree and vice versa. And I have no clue at all as to what would work best for me here. Sure GP gives me a lot of cold damage for that warp skill, but TB gives so F***ING much regen and sustain especially mana which is ungodly hard to sustain for me right now. I specced into holy pala first going in blind and it held up rather nice up until now in second difficulty act 5 lvl 101 with 6k life if fully buffed, although the keyboard musician style of gameplay with all those buffs and skills u have to repteatedly cast is engaging but fun. But I find unholy pala more intriguing from reading the skills etc.

Anyway. All I want to know, and excuse me for being so incredibly selfish here, is a clear path as to what the F I am to max, GR or TB and what the benefits are and what the downsides are and whats the best Melee Unholy Pala for clearing most of the endgame? As I am already dreading endgame after reading some posts about stuff being undoable or taking 10 mins etc.

Please if any of you would be willing to help out a scrub like me.

EDIT: Superbeast gives only spell dmg???? So why would a melee paladin spec into it? I am so utterly confused

EDIT2: So after extended mindstorming I have come to learn the following:
Unholy Paladin strikes on hit, however scales the damage via spell damage, thus getting energy factor scaled by vitality and superbeast boost the spell
damage. This means that while I want a fast weapon to get as many Blood Thorns procs as possible and to leech/gain life or mana on hit, I want to
scale spell/fire/fire spell damage. Am I correct so far? My god this is some in-depth complicated shit.

Interesting. I did not know at all that there was such a character sheet viewer. I suppose it only shows your base attributes and not any additional attribute increases from gear or charms ye? So still maxing vitality as high as possible for all the damage.

Thank you so much man. Do you know where I can target farm that Malthael Pala Set? It's supposed to be common but idk, haven't dropped any part of it in any elite zone I've been so far. Weirdly enough I am almost exclusively dropping Shadow Set pieces, which is really annoying.
What are your thoughts on crafting gear compared to getting the set? Which is easier, which is stronger in the end?

Again thank you so much for helping me out man.

Crescent - it would be good to see the farming build you mentioned, if you have time to post it.

BTW why do people max Tainted Blood when the diminishing returns seem quite severe? By the time I've put 10 points in it, it's only reducing the time taken for regen (of 100% life) by 0.6 seconds.

Oh, the farming build... I call it "lazyglasscanon".

It mostly based on Kirimaru's (page 15 of this topic - don't know if there is a way to get link to certain post) & Bonespirit's (can't find, really) investigations.

You'll have to die if few random missiles will hit you, so you'll have to run-run-run, it's so easy, thanks to godlike movespeed. Just run and rebuff sometimes. No other actions needed. EVERYTHING on your way just melts.

At level 140 i have around 12k hp with described build. Low defence, no resistances, no regen. Nothing. Only pure damage and ~350% magic find.

Stats:

Buff everything, then just run and get loot. Divine apparition kills the whole screen. Use on CD. But if you're REAL lazy, don't use it. Just run, you're still be good boy. If you're DAMN lazy - don't renew short buffs. Still OK.

How to kill fat bosses.
Buff everything, then suicide with bodyrush into boss. Few deaths - and poison will do the work.

With almost perfect rolls you'll have more than 700% spell damage + godly 450% from energy factor ahead (additive scaling).

With "boss accessories" Symphony's damage can reach around 2-3kk on character's stats screen. If you'll stack few sources of -% enemy poison resistance, you'll kill Astrogha and Xazzax in 2-3 corpseruns.

P.S. This bastard thing kills uber Spirit of Giyua ("Spirit World" in "Mbwiru Eikura") SOOOO EASY, that i can't find a words to describe it. You just run and... there's a loot, huh. But it based on some luck with spirits' spawn (50/50), to be fair. Uldissyan also was killed by running around.
P.P.S. Unholy paladin is so brainless and overpowered now, that with my unskillness the only enemies left - it's Samael, Laz and Phobos, they really need careful strategy. All other bosses became a freakshow if you have paladin.

And sorry for my poor English.

And sorry for my poor English.

why robe of steel ?

Cause %energy factor, this build doesn't work in current patch
