The statue quest reward now gives 50 life, and the tome quest rewards 10 stats.

Well, this has already been changed in the latest release, if you check the changelog. Golden bird change was also added.

Got it now, thanks. Yes, it makes sense. With the Tome quest it's easily doable, need to check about the Bird. Unless it's impossible to detect in which version the quest was completed.
