Copied from the LFAQ on MXL documentation website:

Q: I'm trying to do one of the Uber Quests, and I can't hurt the boss! What gives?
A: The boss has an invisible immunity.
See next.

Q: Why doesn't the immunity show up?
A: It doesn't show up on the unit because Blizzard can't code, and I sure am not going to abandon shield auras because of this.

Shield aura + Magic Resistant = Elemental Immunity.
Shield aura + Mana Burn = Huge Elemental resistance.
Shield aura + [element] Enchanted = Single Elemental Immunity.
Shield aura + Stone Skin = Physical Immunity.

Crystal ball has shield aura, and in your screenshot mana burn. So huge elemental resistance. Just reroll a new ball.

From the fact that this is in the FAQ, it's not a median bug. It won't be 'fixed'. It's just a part of the game engine.

That's what I meant. They're all one item type, and they aren't jewelry (or at least none of the places that drop more jewels or jewelry drop more quivers). In general, quivers seem like a really rare item type. You can get 15-20 unique pieces of jewelry in a Fauz clear, because the base items drop so often, but I don't think there's anywhere quivers drop like that (which is why I mentioned Tran Athulua... a bias towards uniques may get you more unique quivers without reducing the chance that a base-item quiver drops). I assume Yshari Sanctum will work in a similar fashion, but it's much more of a pain in the rear, and unless you need Great Runes or other kinds of uniques as well...

Well the situation with ammo (arrows & bolts) is a bit weird, since in vanilla diablo 2 they only had basic rarity and were purchasable from vendors. Therefore with no rare/unique versions they were put in the "junk" drop classes. Based on my understanding of the files here are the best ways to farm ammo:

1) If you are looking for a tiered unique it is clearly best to just pick up random TUs as you farm and shard them into arcane crystals and use the unique creation recipe.

2) For sacred uniques a drop is the only possibility, so the most practical advice is just to farm the best level your build can handle as that way you have the highest chance to get generally good loot to trade for ammo in question.

If you are bent on farming ammo yourself however:
- All junk treasure classes across acts/difficulties have the same probability to pick ammo (and it is kinda low)
- All chests can drop junk so pop them open when you run past + carry keys for locked ones.
- Bosses which have relatively high chance to drop junk: Summoner, Izual, Hephasto; Countess quest reward
- Virtually all non-boss monsters can drop junk so it is best to clear high populated areas.
- In general the areas with a "something" bias i.e. TA, K3k, Khalimgrad, Dunc etc. have lower odds of dropping junk (about 1/3 the chance).

The last two points imply that it is best to farm high populated no bias areas to get the most quiver drops & open all chests along the way. Cow level comes to mind, also high populated non-uber areas like river of flame, kurast etc.

But again, simply farming a profitable level - dunc/fauzt/sewers and trading for the quiver eventually is outright better as you generate more "currency" per run.

Nice to see explanations instead of "no", even passersby learn in the process.

Also, does Borgin's exist in SP? Little digging implies they were a streamer (and the name makes sense given that), but no matter how vigilant I am I haven't found one yet and couldn't find a definite answer on whether they were enabled or even supposed to be in the docs. I've found literally dozens of EVERY other non-sacred-tier piece of jewelry, but you can never be sure whether it's really rare or the other m8s are 'avin' a giggle at the collectors who keep looking for it (especially with stuff like QQ and Secret Unlisted and Until You Realize It Sucks floating about). Hell I've found two Quov so far and still haven't seen a Borgin or any jewelry higher than Nebel/Niradyahk, RNGesus be messin' yo ;-|

The same thing with cold damage spells applies to Crystal Ball, but it seems like lightning and fire skills may randomly not work as well - some people casted a dozen of Thunderstones with 0 damage dealt. So just go and do what I said: cast TP, come in, come out, cast RoF.

You're right, it's happening with azmodan as well.

Too many glitched bosses. I really, really hope that sigma fixes this. Some of these glitches result in an excess of wasted time, rendering some trophies and charm rerolls not worth the time.

Can confirm the Azmodan thing. Stacked like 10 abyss ontop of him and he barely took damage. Like using purify without open wounds. Switched to lightning and he still didn't care.

I thought that was a stupid combo of the unique modifiers these bosses can get, magic resistant + something else. CoV crystal ball and Azmodan have these often. (Or I just know this because I farm the trophy)
